CLASSIC ANDALUSIAN VILLA, SURROUNDED BY ORANGE TREES, FOUNTAINS. PRIVATE POOL.

Welcome to this two-hundred-year-old traditional country house, which for many years has been in the hands of a local family. Their warmth and the passing of their family history, told with love from parents to children, is captured in their rooms.

Being only 300 metres from Órgiva, it is a pleasant walk of less than five minutes from town. The walk leads us to the automatically opening main gate, which when opened shows us luxuriant gardens. Ancient cypresses, orange trees and other fruit trees (grapefruit, persimmon, quince, plum, avocado, lemons and mandarins) stand majestically with Sierra Lújar as a backdrop. Ornamental plants, geraniums, rose bushes and hibiscus paint the gardens with colours. Two mill wheels, a water trough and the sound of the irrigation canal running along the side of the farm remind us of the agricultural character of the fertile Guadalfeo valley.
The pool will immediately catch your attention! It is delightfully located and invites you to a relaxing dip—the blue of the water contrasts pleasantly with the greenery and colours of the garden. At night it surprises with a show of colour since it is equipped with multi-colour LED lighting. A fountain with water lilies completes the scene to make your sunbathing doubly relaxing.
Beyond the pool is the delightful gazebo with a central table and chairs for seven people to enjoy outdoor lunches. It also has some armchairs where everyone can relax comfortably. An ornamental fountain surrounded by stone benches completes the relaxed atmosphere of this outdoor space that will undoubtedly be the main focus of your family vacation.
You access the interior through the main entrance and in the foyer you’ll find vestiges of past times. The floor proudly shows off its traditional tiles, the ceiling beams and the antique mirrored sideboard give us a hint of the classic essence of the house.
From the foyer we access the living room, not an overly large space, as is the Alpujarra tradition, but extremely cozy and agreeable. Here the traditional decor of the house is more evident—an antique sideboard displays local ceramics and brass utensils on the mantelpiece give old world character.
Through an arch in its wide walls is access to the kitchen. Although old traditional kitchen utensils are on display, the kitchen is more practical and adapted to current needs. It is equipped with the modern appliances that we usually have in our homes.
The owners invite you to taste the wines of their own harvest, a bottle of white wine and another of red await you upon arrival courtesy of the charming Angelina. For those who wish to repeat the experience, more bottles are available in the kitchen with a self-payment method (honesty box).
On this same floor is a complete bathroom with a shower, laid out in the same practical style.
The stairs lead you to the first floor, to a hall that gives access to the different rooms. The master bedroom with a double bed has a large window and typical wrought iron ‘rejas’.
Also on this floor is another double bedroom with two single beds, a complete bathroom in white with a shower, the laundry room and access to a sunny terrace. This terrace (which may also be accessed from the outside) is perfect for enjoying an aperitif, taking in the views of the garden and the swimming pool.
Returning to the interior of the house, you go up to the second floor where there are two more bedrooms: one single and the other double with two single beds. Also on this floor is a WC and a magnificent games room. The games room has a spectacular window that floods the room with light. It houses a very well stocked library, board games, fireplace, television with access to Netflix and a PlayStation PS4 Pro that will delight the little ones, and the not so young . . .
From here, more stairs lead to the sun terrace that offers impressive views of the Andalusian landscape that surrounds the house.

Beautiful outstanding villa in stunning surroundings
We got such a warm welcome from Antonio and his wonderful family. They were the perfect hosts and made us feel very at home. There are a lot of nice villas with pools but this place is more than just nice nice, it has the wow factor!. If you want peace and quiet in a tranquil setting this is the place to be. With mountains and bird song around you and the trinkle of the water from the fountains it's pure paradise. They have thought of everything here to the beautiful gardens, the swimming pool, the gazebo, I could go on and on. Inside the villa is also beautiful and has many traditional features with plenty of home comforts. We would definitely return here and top marks to Antonio and his family for creating a little gem. Thanks again Venetia and Chris

An excellent stay in a beautiful villa in a stunning location
Villa Adelaida is a truly wonderful place to stay; the best location in our month long trip around Spain. The house itself is on three levels, plus the roof terrace, and each one is delightful. The kitchen is fully equipped and wonderfully clean, as were the bathrooms, with excellent showers. The lovely and caringly tended gardens help provide a sense of relaxation which the beautiful pool area with its stunning views further enhances, The photos give a feeling of the magnificent views but it is difficult to show just how beautiful this area is - it has to be seen and experienced to truly appreciate it. It was obvious from the moment we were welcomed by Antonio's delightful parents that they care deeply about, and are rightly proud of Villa Adelaida, showing us around, explaining everything to us and making us feel so welcome. The oranges they left for juicing were lovely as was their home made wine (thoroughly recommended). The town of Orgiva a short walk away, with numerous restaurants and bars, is very friendly and has everything we needed (even a fiesta to mark the end of summer). A trip up the mountains to visit the village of Capileira via Pampaneira and Bubion was a highlight and well worth the effort. All in all, Villa Adelaida exceeded our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to our friends and family. We certainly would like to return in the future and enjoy the surrounding mountains even more. Thank you Antonio for letting us spend our time at your lovely house, and a special mention to your wonderful parents Angelina and Jose who help make Villa Adelaida such a special place.

Holiday in Orgiva
The house was very good, well looked after, nice pool and outside area. Orgiva isn't the prettiest town in Spain but it has some nice restaurants and bars. The surrounding area is very beautiful.

Beautiful villa in a beautiful location
Villa Adelaida really is a lovely villa, and probably even better than we expected. The pool and garden areas are excellent as you can see from the photos and the trees were full of fruit. The villa is really nice inside and the kitchen and bathrooms are modern and well equipped. We were met my Jose and Angelina who were lovely and the showed us around the villa. They had provided milk, wine, coffee and oranges for juicing and all the kitchen essentials. It's a 10 minute walk into the centre of Orgiva which is a really nice town. There's plenty of bars and restaurants and all the shops you need. The drive up from the coastal moterway takes about 20 minutes and the scenery is stunning. Villa Adelaida is perfect for a relaxing holiday in stunning countryside, but still only 30 minutes from the beach resorts of the Costa Tropical.

Better than we could ever have dreamed.
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Adelaide, Órgiva. The villa is within easy walking distance of the town, with numerous shops and restaurants. The gardens and outside areas of the house are amazing and there were lots of sunny places as well as shaded areas. Angelina and Jose made us feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I got a lovely guided tour around the orchard and was told all the Spanish names of the plants, which I loved. Our 5 year old daughter also loved this place and it felt very secure for her - she especially enjoyed learning about the Spanish version of the “tooth fairy”, who visited twice in our week at this beautiful house! The pool is superb, and we really had the best week. Thank you so much for everything. Penny and family x

A treat for the senses
My family and I had a wonderful stay at VILLA ADELAIDA at the end of April with the water in the pool just warm enough for a daily dip, the snowclad mountains at their most serene and beautiful, and the grove of fruit trees groaning with ripe oranges and lemons. Whenever we stepped into the garden there was a new treat for the senses, with all the colours, sounds and smells of the Alpujarras on tap. The owners were attentive and generous, encouraging us to share their home-made wine and suitably rustic and delectable olive oil, while the children collected baskets of oranges and lemons every day to make freshly-squeezed juice. The entire week was a tonic for the mind and body. Will definitely be returning.

Spring in wonderful Orgiva
Villa Adelaide was perfect venue for our family to relax and stroll into town, Jose and Angelina made us feel very welcome and showed much kindness in making sure our stay was comfortable. The villa was very well equipped and beautifully presented, no need to bring anything or worry about facilities or amenities. The large outdoor dining and relaxing space made up for a slightly crammed living room for 7 people, which was nevertheless warm and cosy with a wood fire for the few colder Spring evenings in early April. The kids loved the pool and we all loved the abundant oranges lemons and kumquats fresh off the garden trees. We'd love to come back to Villa Adelaide again. Patrick and Mandy from England.

Beautiful, comfortable, stunning gardens with orange & lemon trees.
Myself and my two children 15 & 21 and my friend and his two kids stayed at the property 12th-19th January 2016. The house was really comfortable and warm with a lovely open fire and woodburning stove and plenty of space for us all. The modern, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher was great and made even the cooking a pleasure. The owners were lovely an very helpful and Antoñio was extremely quick with his email response when I had any queries. We enjoyed the area of Orgiva very much and the town itself had everything we could need. We drove to Sierra Nevada a couple of times to ski and although its not that far away on the map, it was about an hour and a half drive. We had a great time and would definately recommend it. Emma
