"Beautiful castle in the countryside accessible by public transportation. The place is in walking distance to a village meat market and a bakery. We got food and wine from the village and had a lovely picnic in the garden. Overall a very special experience and we absolutely enjoyed the tranquility and natural beauty of this 16th century chateau. The room is spacious and clean and there’s a fan. Note that as usual window screen is not a thing in France, so come prepared with mosquito spray. "

"Extremely welcoming hosts; could not have asked for better. First week in large bed-sitting room with separate toilet and separate bathroom, second week in en suite room. The property has a shaded terrace with a large table and chairs; other parts of the garden have more secluded seating. Use of the large guest kitchen was great. It was like a home from home. All would have been perfect but for the unexpected heatwave which reached about 40 degrees and as there is no air con we initially suffered trying to sleep. Saying this l would definitely go back again, it is so very quirky!"
