The area of Orange Beach is wonderful & we had an amazing time --- outside of the condo. Inside the condo was no fun at all. Our party of 3 adults & 5 children (ages 3 - 11) arrived late afternoon, unpacked, went grocery shopping, & settled down only to find out we were short a bed. This condo was & still is advertised as "Sleeps 8" with a king bed, 2 queens/full beds, & a queen pull-out couch. This is not accurate. The tan/orange leather couch in the picture does not pull out. We called the front desk/mgmt service & they blamed the owner saying the owner must have switched out couches last minute. It was the exact couch in the picture so I doubt that happened. They offered to switch rooms but it would have been close to midnight before we finished moving so we declined. They brought up a well-used cot for us to use which took up most of the living room for the week. A construction crew moved in after our first day & we could not go back to the room during the daylight hours unless we wanted to walk through a wall of concrete dust, passed a ton of equipment, and listen to an enormous concrete sander the entire time. Loud doesn't begin to describe it. The vibrations knocked pictures off the walls. The construction lasted the entire length of our stay. In speaking to several other renters & owners, we found out that other owners called their renters, offered to refund their stay, or reschedule their visit due to the planned construction. Brett Robinson did not. The construction was scheduled, Brett Robinson knew of the schedule & still chose to rent the condo. The condo never should have been rented. Again, they offered to move us to another room but the construction was happening on every floor. It was loud & hazardous -- to adults & to small children. The workers were wearing masks yet we were made to walk through the dust in order to get to the elevator to escape the noise & to get back to our room. On top of that, the fire alarms kept going off which were blamed on the vibrations from the machines. We ended up getting the last night free due to the inconvenience , noise, & aggravation but in all honestly, the entire trip should have been free. One night free was a joke. I have never been one to complain but this was unbelievable! If you stay with Brett Robinson, ask about any planned maintenance or construction & double check the advertisement. You could be in for one very loud, very uncomfortable stay.
