Located at the lower end of Paerata Ridge Road, you’ll be minutes away from the beach and surf club, with access onto the bike trails. Bike west, towards Waiotahe Estuary, or east, heading into Opotiki and linking onto the Motu Trails, which takes you past Tirohanga and beyond.
This three bedroom, two bathroom, open plan home sits proudly on a large unfenced section. With striking views of the sea, including views of Whakaari/White Island, the continuing development of Opotiki harbour and all the way down the coast you’ll spend happy lazy days on the balcony soaking in the ever-changing seascape.
The well appointed kitchen will delight the holiday cook and with the open plan kitchen/dining/lounge, with those views to side track you, you’ll be happy spending time in the kitchen whilst on holiday.
The three bedrooms are located at the west end of the house and the beds are two queens and two king singles. There’s plenty of storage in each bedroom.
A delightful main bathroom is ready for you to pamper yourself after a day out and about in Opotiki with a fabulous bath and separate shower. The toilet is also separate to the bathroom, with a second toilet and shower located in the laundry.
If you are here for the bike trails, a lockup area is available for your bikes and also kayaks and other toys. Why not bring the golf clubs? Opotiki Golf Club is less than 5 minutes away and welcomes green fee players.
Opotiki is 5 minutes’ drive away and Whakatane is 30 minutes away. Plenty to do, plenty to see, come and stay at Kate and Harry’s!

Paerata Ridge is a hillside coastal settlement overlooking the Eastern Bay of Plenty coastline. Five minutes from Opotiki and thirty minutes from Whakatane. At the bottom of the hill, the Opotiki bike trails take you west to Waiotahe Estuary or west into Opotiki township and beyond to Motu Trails.
A car or bike is required to get around the neighbourhood. Limited public transport is available at the bottom of the ridge on State Highway 2.
