There is also a typical Croatian "konoba" on the ground floor where the whole group can spend time together. The basement of the villa is ideal for those who value luxury. You can stay active and exercise in the private gym or relax in the sauna. Soak up the sun by the pool or dine al fresco on the terrace. Villa Opatija has everything you could need on vacation!"Veprinac, a small hilltop town near Opatija, used to be a well-known European tourist center. The name "Veprinac" is associated with the butcher's broom, a plant species that grows almost in abundance in this region. Take a walk through the town and enjoy the view of the entire Kvarner Bay. Veprinac is only a short drive from Opatija, the stunning coastal town with beautiful architecture and a pleasantly mild climate. Tourism in Opatija dates back to the 19th century, when the Habsburgs made Opatija a destination for the nobility.
