"Overall our stay here was great. The house was clean, and the furniture and beds were comfortable. The rooms are spacious. The only negatives for us were the very low water pressure in the shower, and having to park under a pine tree that dropped needles and sap all over our cars. All my interactions with the owner were great. "

"The location was perfect, our host was extremely responsive and helpful. Chris gave us tips and set us up with the ferry Captain. "This was my family's 4th time staying at the Sand Castle so I don't have much to add since my previous reviews. We did not notice that the listing had changed since we had booked and were sorry to see that the bunkbeds had been removed but we worked things out. Also the beach has changed quite a bit and the sand disappears completely at high tide now. This is obviously not related to VRBO or the homeowner, just something future renters may want to know. "We spent one evening at this quaint cottage. The setting is rustic; yet calm and quiet. The house has been completely updated, and many thoughtful extra items were included. The beds were comfortable. The listing said that there were two bathrooms. There was only one. Of special interest was a garage with several nice kayaks for our use."

The historic style of the home works well with the renovations which include strong WiFi, new appliances and plenty of high-tech flat screen televisions.
