The Jolly Poacher Retreat
3.5 star property

"The Jolly Poacher is a true gem. The beautifully presented interior immediately impresses, creating a warm and cozy vibe that makes you feel right at home. If you love flyfishing, there is a treasure trove of memorabilia to keep you entertained. We stayed as a family for two nights and the highlight for my daughter was feeding the calf over the fence. The location is a dream—just a short drive to the local wineries and downtown Blenheim. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, going above and...

"Wonderful stay with our hosts who did more than was expected. Nothing was a problem. They even met us at the train station with our luggage so we would not have to walk back from town. What a treat breakfast was. I would book again in a heartbeat. "

Olde Mill House B&B
4.0 star property
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (115)
"This place was great. Pretty, good breakfast, good location. Except it is not handicap accessible. If I had known that there were stepp, irregular, slanted and long steps to front door without even a railing, I would not have booked. Also difficult if you habe heavy luggage. I think the fact that it isn't accessible should be in the description."

Retiro Park Lodge
3.5 star property

"The only reason that we wouldn't give Retiro one of the highest recommendations we have ever given any place we've ever stayed is that the charming gentlemen who run this amazing place are moving on from hosting guests. We consider ourselves lucky to have gotten in under the wire and wish them the best as they start the next chapter."

"The hosts were very helpful and helped us plan the best activities for our stay and organise them. The view from our balcony and the shared lounge were fabulous. Food and refreshments were excellent. We would happily return if in New Zealand again and would recommend it as a great location and place to stay if asked. The scenery and closeness to Queen Charlotte Track were wonderful. "

Stunning location garden setting, farmstead cottage!
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (15)
"We had a wonderful time staying at this cottage for two nights while visiting Marlborough and driving up to Abel Tasman. It was cozy and bigger on the inside than expected. Lots of attention to detail and wonderful suggestions laid out from the hosts. They also offered for us to meet the horses which I thought was lovely, we just didn’t end up having the time. Highly recommend!"

"Overall a very beautiful setting and very comfortable rustic housing for six adult family members. Highly recommend. Only challenge was managing heat / house temperature and suggest adding a mini split heat pump .eliminate this discomfort. "
