Amazing property, stunning location
We couldn't have been happier with our experience at this property (apart from wanting to stay much longer). It's a small but very well-laid-out historic stone cottage with a variety of outdoor spaces and fantastic views of the Adriatic Sea. On the ground floor there's a covered loggia shaded by an ancient fig tree and grape vines, perfect as a place to sit outside in the hot afternoons. We had breakfast every morning on the upper balcony overlooking the sea, and in back there's a covered area with a grill for outdoor cooking. The inside kitchen is small but fine for basic cooking, and the upstairs bedroom was comfortable with a large bed for two plus an extra twin for a child. There are two full bathrooms and a washing machine.
Host Ana met us at the house and showed us around (despite our late arrival), then sent us many recommendations for restaurants and activities. She is an excellent host.
Overall this is a wonderful place to stay if you want access to the activities in Omis but want to sleep in a much quieter, more spacious place. There's even a great restaurant in walking distance. Two things to be aware of: The village is up a steep mountain road with a lot of tight switchbacks, so you need to be a confident driver with a decent car. There were also a lot of bees around (not at all aggressive, but might be a concern for people who are afraid of them) and mosquitos, so do bring bug spray (which Ana also provides).
Overall, it was a real delight!
