Perfect getaway
The house had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. We used the grill and hot tub a lot while there. Wendy was wonderful and very responsive. The nature and scenery were spectacular. You could not ask for a more beautiful and relaxing retreat on the Sound. You will see deer, seals and if you’re lucky orcas. Thank you for the incredible stay! We will be back.

Family Getaway
We absolutely loved our 2 night stay! The setting and view was amazing and can't be beat. Kids enjoyed combing the beach at low tide, kayaking, and watching seals, and jellyfish. The quite setting, views, and the back deck made for a lovely spot to sit and take it all in. It was a perfect spot for our family of 6 to get away together.

Amazing view
We loved everything about this property. From the morning and evening views of Rainier to the hot tub, it was just what we needed. Felt so secluded and was very quiet yet a good midpoint for trips to Olympic, Rainier and Seattle. Taking the kayaks out on the inlet was a nice option to have as well.

Amazing!!
My fiancé and I stayed here for 3 nights and wow is this place a dream! Wendy was awesome and responded promptly to any question I had throughout the stay! We had a fire watching the sunset on the water, used the hot tub to warm up on the cool nights and even got to rent a kayak! Hopefully it will be available next year because we are looking forward to staying here again!

Amazing views of water, wildlife, and Mt Rainier!
Terrific house to celebrate our anniversary with memorable views of the Sound and Mt Rainier at sunrise and sunset from the windows and deck. We were fortunate to have clear and sunny weather during most of our short stay in this quiet, clean, and comfortable home. We enjoyed the space, hot tub, and beach area with lots of wildlife, including seals and herons, to view. The house included most everything one would need for a relaxing stay. Wendy was a gracious host and we enjoyed our time here very much!

Wonderful time unwinding. Or winding up for our daughters E.C. Graduation! Only wish was for a variety of sauce pans for cooking. Fast, helpful communications, great selection of books. Wish we had stayed longer!

Very nice house on the water
We really enjoyed our time at this well-appointed home on the water. The hot tub with a view was a particular treat. AC is a listed amenity which we found a bit misleading since there is only one wall unit and it is in the second bedroom. It was in the upper 80's when we were there so the house got a little warm. Overall a very nice stay.

Delightful!
The house was just right for our stay. We were working (one teleworking at the house, the other commuting to office in town), but the kitchen and dining room had everything to enjoy home cooked or takeout meals in the evening. The hot tub was especially nice, in any weather. The fireplace was cozy on rainy days, and when the sun came out...WOW! Gorgeous sunrise, sea lions cavorting in the inlet, and a fabulous view of Mt Rainier.

Beautiful views
The views from the house are amazing. We lucked out, having stellar weather in April. Blue skies and sunshine made all the difference staying at this location. We were able to see the mountain and explore the beach, enjoyed the hot tub and had a memorable anniversary weekend. * The sunrise comes through the master bedroom window with power! Very bright, very early. If you're not an early riser, bring eye covers or sleep in the other bedroom. * The deck is awesome. Would be nice if barbecue was on the deck- maybe it is during summer months but was not in April. * Loved the robes for the hot tub. * Easy to find and dog friendly. * Had a wonderful stay!

So peaceful!
We enjoyed the peace of the sound while taking advantage of the hot tub and kayaks! Very comfy. The only issuse was the back deck, needs a little work. We were afraid of nails popping up...had to wear shoes and some of the wood was rotten. Other than that, had a wonderful!! Time!

Gorgeous Serenity
This home was perfect for our quick trip to the area to visit Evergreen State. It gave us a real sense of the spectacular influence that the forest and Puget Sound would have on our daughter's college experience--completely spectacular setting. The home is not super updated but is really really well maintained and has everything you need. Renting the kayaks added to the experience creating lasting memories of an early morning adventure with my almost grown up girl. Loved it.

Just what we needed!
We live on the heart of Vancouver BC in a condo on the 22nd floor. With the stress and insanity the last three years have been, we seriously needed to unplug. This was the perfect place! Amazing views, on the shore, quiet, beautiful fauna and a well equipped kitchen. The host suggested my new favourite grocery store too. We were going to kayak but the weather wasn’t working. This one’s a winner!

Beautiful place!
My wife and I had a great stay! My only two complaints and they didn't dissuade me from a 5 start review: 1. I couldn't log in to my own streaming accounts which isn't a big deal as I had other options. 2. Water pressure was lacking in the shower. Wendy was amazing and even helped me book an in house massage for my wife. I would definitely book this property again!

Absolute Must Stay!
This place is simply beautiful! The views are second to none. Eld Inlet, Mt Rainier, open beach, passing boaters, AMAZING sunrise - beautiful sunset colors on the mountain, sky full of stars! Has it all. Super quiet neighborhood and private garden, hot tub and large deck to take it all in. Not far from great restaurants, shopping, junk hunting etc. We spent a full day of doing nothing and loved every second of it. Stocked with everything you need, just being the groceries! Our pup, Huckleberry, was in heaven. He found a new friend in a local Chocolate Lab named Sadie. If you have a well behaved dog, not too big, it’s perfect for them to romp around. The owners were super communicative and easy to work with. Highly recommend this property. If I could give 20 stars, I would!

Great picturesque cottage
We love the Olympia cottage, the deck views were spectacular, the rocky beach always fun to explore, the hot tub inviting at night. Some people have called the decor dated, we found it charming and cozy with plenty of space to hang out between excursions. The location is just remote enough to not have the city next door but not so remote as to make groceries and dinners a bother. It's only about 20 minutes to Olympia but it's also close to parks, nature trails and other goodies. The cottage was very well stocked, in fact I would say the most well stocked of any of the VRBO homes I have rented. The pantry was stuffed with cooking essentials that you might forget when shopping. The bed was comfortable and there's a great TV room and an extra bathroom. The kitchen is small but has a table and everything you may need. There are bookshelves crammed with books, binoculars to view across the sound and an amazing view of Mt. Rainier, which is spectacular at sunset. We would go on excursions during the day and then go back to the cottage and have dinner and soak in the tub under the moon. All in all we had a great time here and I'd highly recommend this location if you're visiting the area. The only drawback was the traffic between SeaTac and Olympia, but that's due to construction on the freeway that I'm sure will be done at some point.

Beautiful view, Enjoy the Outdoors, Inside Not so Much
Our family enjoyed the view of the Puget Sound, the beach combing, and the remote location of the home. Seeing deer every day and enjoying the fresh air was wonderful. We do feel like the level of cleanliness left something to be desired. Sitting on the furniture produced a cloud of dust, many spider webs in the air vents throughout the home, mold and a definite musty smell underneath the sink in the kitchen. Many of the things in the house are over 30 years old and not well taken care of. Also, the home is advertised to include children, yet the manager of the home had a hard time with our daughter playing with a soft, pillow-like door stop, that was on the floor. There is a request to leave our shoes outside the home, but the floors were filthy and not well cleaned. The level of expectations for the renters seems to exceed the level of expectations for themselves. The first time I did dishes there was a lack of drainage in the kitchen sink. It was taken care of very quickly, and we appreciated that. In the description, it is mentioned that there are full amenities. My understanding is that this would include a washer and dryer. We rent from VRBO multiple times per year and all the houses (with all amenities) include a washer and dryer. We will not recommend this property to our friends or relatives.

Best of the Pacific Northwest
This was a return visit for us to our very favorite rental vacation home in the PNW. We've stayed in many many properties over the past 15 years but nothing beats the quiet, comfortable, relaxing, and beautiful location, home, and terrific host. This is the perfect romantic getaway on the water to rest, reconnect, and recharge.

Cozy with Stunning Views
We were having some work done on our house, so we booked last minute. The house is cozy and cool. But the real draw is the view and access to the sound. It is amazing. The neighborhood is very nice as well. I brought my two dogs and we took walks just about every day. Plenty of roads and beautiful scenery. We saw at least one deer every day. Take the time to check out Fyre Cove Park. It is a tiny sign from the road but the park is totally with a visit. It has beach access, BBQ pits and a ton of walking trails from easy to huff and puff. We will definitely be keeping this property in mind for the future.

This home is a bit of a drive from town, but is perfect for someone who loves being on the water with a view. We were fortunate to have clear skies and to see the beautiful Mt Tahoma. It was comfortable and clean. The front door lock was a bit tricky. We enjoyed our stay.
