Peaceful - Beach Side Studio Cottage with Beach Access

Relax and unwind.

The Beautiful Pickering studio apartment features a newly renovated bathroom, full kitchen, and beach views. Located on the water of Eld Inlet in a quiet forested area, within easy driving distance of Downtown Olympia and multiple National and State Parks. A cozy retreat!

Book the main house next door as well for additional sleeping space, large living areas, water-facing deck, and hot tub! Check out VRBO listing #640021.

This lovely studio cottage is 200 square feet with a fully stocked kitchen, a renovated bathroom with tiled shower, and a queen bed. Dining area is appropriate for remote work, with two chairs. Located near the water, with beach access. From the dining table there are lovely views of Puget Sound & Mount Rainier. Adjacent patio and chairs.

Complimentary wifi & cable TV.

Complimentary beach access, parking, and laundry in neighboring garage.

Driveway, laundry, kayaks, and beach access are shared with the main house on the property that is usually occupied. There is plenty of room and space for all the enjoy the peace and quiet!

The mild winters and warm summers offer a perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

Kayaks available to rent for a nominal fee with advance notice, when available.
RV parking available at the top of the driveway upon request.
Boat rides on the bay are available to book upon request at $100/hour, weather and schedule dependent. Please message host if you'd like to book a power boat tour.
Massages are available upon request. These need to be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.

There are two residences on this property. There is a main house and this studio. The beach access is shared between the two guests.

We love our special retreat and hope you will too! We expect all guests to treat the property, neighbors, and guests at nearby rentals with respect. When we receive your booking request, we'll send out a rental agreement. Here are the basics of what you can expect:
Check in is after 4pm on arrival day; check out is by 11am on departure day. No late checkouts unless otherwise arranged
Use of wifi, cable tv, utilities, sheets & towels, kitchen equipment, board games is included with your stay
Beach access is shared with others on the property
Kayak rentals are subject to a nominal fee for use during the entirety of your stay
No smoking
No pets
No damage to house, furniture, or amenities
No additional guests, unless otherwise arranged

Great getaway place
Beautiful, clean place right on the sound. Kayaks available for seeing some awesome wildlife. We saw Bald Eagles, Harbor Seals and many other animals. Highly recommend this quaint little cottage.

Enjoyed our recent visit! This little cabin is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Very peaceful. Close to downtown Olympia. It was an easy commute to visit our family there. Appreciated the restaurant and grocery store recommendations. Absolutely would return!

Quiet peaceful place
We enjoyed our stay even on a rainy winter day. We walked to the beach between rains and were able to access it easily. The bathroom is small with little counter space by the sink but it's all workable. It was great having a full size refrigerator. The parking was very well arranged as well as the ability to drive close to the cabin door to unload.

It!s the Beach!
Quiet and secluded get-away with views of the inlet. Handicap bars in bathroom would be good addition as well as reflective house number on building at driveway entry ( easier to find in the dark!) Well appointed, clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed it so much we booked an extra day!🌊

Perfect Beach Cottage
Yes we stayed in a beach cottage in the middle of winter. It was so cozy and quiet and the little heater worked great It was nice not hearing the freeway or other neighbors thumping around. We live in a condo in the city back at home. It was perfect for a couple or a single person. WiFi worked great and we were right by the water. We were actually in Olympia area searching for our retirement home and found it! Such a cute place and a very successful trip! Maybe we can come back in the summer at some point for a staycation!

Little cottage by the bay
Take me back to the little cottage by the bay!! Already missing the peace & serenity of this special place. Very clean accommodations with everything you’ll need for relaxing get away. Quiet, safe location…just the right amount of distance from any city busyness. Breathtaking views including Mt.Raniere. Caretaker Wendy is super helpful & very quick to respond to inquiries. I can’t say enough about this lovely vacation spot. Just what I was in need of & looking for. Have confidence booking this rental…it will not disappoint!

By the water stay
The cottage suited our needs. Beautiful view. From the pictures online, it looked like we could walk a few feet to the water on the other side of the fence and the property be level, so we brought along our inflatable kayak. It wasn't the case and would have been too difficult to inflate and try to bring down to the water. The kayaks that were there to rent. seemed too difficult for us to maneuver. Didn't notice anyone else from main house using the jacuzzi. Would have been nice to use if we could have communicated with those staying there. The 2 women, during part of our stay, seemed friendly and probably wouldn't have minded. To be specific, the kitchen cookware could have been more upto date and not sooo worn. Have gotten used cookware that was in very good shape from second hand/Goodwill stores that didn't cost very much. The TV was very disappointing, even though the guy that came and tried to help us out, found that the cable wasn't plugged in. The remote wasn't working right- batteries needed to be replaced. The windows needed to be cleaned. The 'auto ignite' on the stove didn't work right. We felt that these things should have been either updated , cleaned or checked out between renters.

Adorable Tiny House on the water
This was a beautiful respite on the water. We enjoyed staying in the cottage and slept deeper than we have in a long time. It’s very quiet and peaceful. Laundry is available and it’s within an hour to Olympia National Park. Great spot!

Weekend getaway
Cozy, close to the inlet beach and easy access to Olympia. Beautiful views of Mt Rainer. We had never seen active oyster beds before. That was cool! Also, note, the cottage is on the same property as a house, so not a lot of privacy if that is what you want. The cottage interior is very nice. It was a good base for the weekend.

Superb location and very cute studio
The property is supreme! Excellent quiet location on a beautiful property with partial views from both windows. Right on the sound with direct beach access. It's a challenge to get the kayaks down there but they have a couple you can rent. If you bring your own, they have a place you can safely store them. The room is exactly as pictured- small, well decorated, comfortable. It is a tight fit with all your stuff if you are bringing your own supplies and meals but it works. Quick drive to Olympia as well. Highly recommend. Thank you Wendy.
