Secluded 2 Bedroom Villa With Breathtaking Views Over the Caribbean Sea

Fabulous 2 bedroom villa with pool and fantastic sea views located on Montserrat the idyllic and untouched Caribbean Island. The villa is located on a half an acre lot of lush rainforest in the most exclusive Woodlands area of the island. The beach is just a short 7 minute walk down the hill, while the villa itself enjoys complete privacy and is not overlooked. Perfect for a romantic getaway or family holiday.

Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, while the kitchen has all the mod cons you could need to self cater. The large undercover veranda is the perfect place to enjoy sundowners or an evening meal, while looking out over the Caribbean Sea towards St Kitts & Nevis.

The villa comes with WiFi as standard, and there is a 50inch flat screen TV with PS3 for games or movies in the evenings. There is a weekly maid service, and airport pick-up included in the weekly rental. While linens and towels are provided. Car hire can also be arranged.

Relax on the veranda or in the pool, and escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. A little bit of paradise on this idyllic forgotten island, experience how the Caribbean use to be.

The view from the villa is amazing and it changes throughout the day. The Villa was the perfect size for my wife and me. It is centrally located and close to everything. Enjoy!

Great place for a peaceful getaway
Very peaceful and quiet. Ocean view is fantastic, especially the sunsets. Pool is great - just enough sun or shade all day. I highly recommend staying here.

Great sunsets
Furniture beat up, uncomfortable, beds & linens old, driveway dangerous and unusable. Pool and lounges nice. Freezer not working well until we called Yvette and had repaired. Beware beach on weekends can have very load music all day into evening, sound carries up the hill. Overall house is rough around the edges.

Potentially a fabulous villa - lots of plusses but also a few significant minuses
This could be a 5* villa. It enjoys beautiful panoramic views, great pool, reasonably secluded (there is a little used road that runs above and overlooks the villa), teeming with interesting wild-life, comfortable beds and comfortable accommodation generally. Yvette the housekeeper was attentive and responsive .... so what are the downers? The biggest one is access via a very steep drive. The drive is very broken up and you can not get a car up it. This means the car is left on the track below and necessitates negotiating the steep drive by foot which is downright dangerous and slippery when wet. I believe there are plans to attend to this but in the short term, just some steps cut into the very steep bank to the side, might help overcome this. The lighting is very poor. Some we never managed to find out how to operate but most of the switches are not obvious as to where they are or what they operate. In addition, the lighting is dreadful for night reading - both in the bedroom and in the lounge area. The bulb wattage is far to low for comfortable reading and although there are claims that electricity is expensive, a reasonable reading lamp / bedside lamp is an essential. Some of the doors did not operate well. The bedoom door stuck and has done for some time it appears, looking at the marks. The external kitchen door regularly got out of alignment on it's track and could only be closed (or sometimes opened) by going outside and physically lifting it, a herculean task in its own right. We ourselves are of an age but I could foresee some people claiming compensation should they slip and fall heavily on the drive or put their back out lifting that door. We arrived having to quarantine for 5 days. Although there is a great flat screen TV we were not able to operate it ... there was an obsolete phone tangled up in a sea of wires and cables and none of it made any sense at all. We didn't want to use an X-box or whatever ... but it might have been nice to receive contact from the outside world via the telly. The wifi eventually worked perfectly well (given some over the phone instructions from Yvette) so thank goodness for our i-pads! One saving grace for our quarantine period (we were only there for 9 days, 5 of which were in strict quarantine!!) was a very interesting library with a rather eclectic set of books. Whilst there I managed to order 4 of the books on Amazon which were at home awaiting our return! I'm afraid 5* this is not but ......

Tranquil Beauty!
Crows Nest Villa is probably the most private, tranquil place you will find! If you are looking for relaxation at its best, than go no further! The home is located on a hillside just above the ocean. The lovely porch provides a magnificent view of the water down below, and the waves at Woodlands Beach can be heard! We spent all of our time on the porch or in the beautiful pool that is just off the porch. The home is well stocked and was spotlessly clean for our arrival! Miss Yvette Lee, Property Manager, was wonderful in meeting all of our needs for provisions . She shopped for us at least twice, and delivered everything to us . The layout of the villa is perfect with very comfortable beds and bedrooms at opposite ends of the villa. Both rooms have their own full bathrooms. We highly recommend this property, especially if you enjoy relaxation and the environment! Thanks so much to Tom and Chrystal to allow us to stay in your lovely home!

Excellent Views, Value, and Vacation
We loved our villa on Monsterrat that felt like home. The views were excellent and we enjoyed the pool daily and comfy pool and porch furniture. There are instructions to fill the hummingbird feeder (and we found plenty of sugar in the pantry) . What a total delight. We were part of grand central station as hummers and bananaquits zoomed in regularly for a sip. We made great use of the well-equipped kitchen, cooking-in regularly, and the dining table on the veranda was fantastic. The sliding glass doors opening up the living room to the veranda were temperamental. One door was cracked. I understand the owners are trying to find replacements. The owners are clearly kid-friendly as a pack & play and high chair were in the villa. The second bedroom with two twins was nice, though we didn't use it. Husband and I did have to adjust to sleeping in a double bed from our years in a queen, but the frogs or coquis sang us to sleep well enough. At night things were always cool enough for good sleeping (I did want to clock a few roosters though in the early morning hours--that's just life in the West Indies!) We loved the people on Montserrat. Its such a small community. Everyone knows each other and the volcano has only tightened bonds among all. Our daily adventures (including walking down from the house to the beach) were wonderful, and we loved returning home each day to Crow's Nest.

Property was in need of maintenance. Outdoor furniture broken and unusable. Pool fixture out and appears to be electrical hazard. Pool unusable for that reason. Could not lock all doors. Sliding glass door glass is cracked. Light bulbs missing in lamps. Bathroom mat had big holes in it. And pictures on VRBO do not reflect the property in its current state.

A Tranquil Tropical Hideaway
Stayed in May 2019. From the moment we entered this house, we loved it! It is so light and spacious, with leafy trees all around, and a happy summery atmosphere. For some reason, I could imagine Dean Martin on the porch, sipping cocktails in the 1950’s! The pool is 2 steps from your bedroom, and the verandah looks directly onto the sunset, with a stunning display every night (and colourful friendly iguanas to share it with!). The kitchen is well-stocked and there are lots of interesting books to read, with even a helpful guide to the local birds. There are extra touches too, such as snorkelling equipment laid on. It all feels easy, relaxed and immersed in nature. The beach is just down the road - nobody on it at all - and there are enough interesting things to do. Montserrat Island Tours, with Sun, is an absolute must, and try to see the sweeping view of the volcano and its path, from Garibaldi Hill too. Yvette (the housekeeper) and Mr Gage from the car-hire looked after us well. Montserrat is a charming, laid-back, somehow old-fashioned and sweet island - and Crow’s Nest is the perfect house to go with it.

Location Can't Be Beat!
This was our second stay at Crow's Nest and we were very pleased to see some lovely upgrades to the residence since last year that enhanced our enjoyment - especially the art on the walls from local artists. But it's really the location that can't be beat - we walk to Woodlands beach twice a day to swim in the sea and usually have the beach all to ourselves! The deck at Crow's Nest is the perfect place to enjoy a sundowner, watch the sunset and catch the green flash! Tom and Chrystal were friendly and responsive as always and Yvette, the new property manager made our stay seamless. Thank you! Looking forward to returning soon!

Wonderful
The villa was all that it says in the description and more. I would not hesitate to return or to recommend to friends. Tom was so helpful prior to our arrival. Answered all questions and went out of his way to help with ferry time tables etc. Tom's representative in Montserrat - Yvette - was just wonderful. She picked us up, helped us getting our local license, help us settle in, was a fountain of knowledge. She kindly helped us book local tours, was there when our ferry was delayed. She really was the most helpful attentive representative. It was with a twinge of sadness we left and the only regret was that we did not book to stay longer. Thank you Tom for sharing your villa and all your help. Yvette - you really were wonderful

Perfect location
Crows Nest is a really comfortable villa with an unbeatable location and a lovely view. The walk to Woodland's Beach (our fave on the island) is quick and easy--just enough exercise to feel at least a little virtuous and still very private. The place itself offers the best kind of simple, indoor-outdoor living, a perfect spot for sundowners looking over the Caribbean Sea. Tom & Chrystal were really responsive and great to work with. We can't wait to come back.

2/10 Terrible

Michael M.

Pics were nice but place was terrible. Wish I could get money back!
When I walked in on 12/25/16, the Villa was in terrible condition. 1. No hot water 2. Broken television 3. AC doesn't work (while not listed on the rental in the pics) 4. Dirty bathroom sink and shower 5. Dead bugs (appears to be a roach) in the draws where we are to put clothing 6. Blown light bulbs and have to use our cell phones flashlight to walk down to the car. 7. Trash in the kitchen pale. 8. Over 6 Spiders in the bathroom and webs all around full with bugs. And continue to walk into spider webs. 9. Torn mosquitoes nets at the windows. 10. Broken sliding doors with cracks in the glass. I contacted the property manager and called the owner. Property manager turned on the hot water but could not help with the others. On 12/27 they sent someone to clean the place. While it helped, it did not help with the Broken TV , the leaky roof that dripped on you when it rained (it rained a lot while we were there), the uncomfortable mattress, and more. The owner offered me 50% off my next stay. You could not pay me to stay there again. I also notified HomeAway as I thought it was material non compliance. Won't use HomeAway again ether.
