"Although the furnishings may be outdated, and the castle is a good drive uphill on an Italian twisty-road… we were very happy with our stay here: it’s a castle room! We enjoyed it. Be prepared for bird song in the morning, and beautiful valley vistas. Bring your wine and snacks: there are no shops around! Breakfast was included and it was good. Parking is a bit downhill but on property. Add 15 minutes to your expected drive to all area attractions and you will be fine. Enjoy Giomici castle! "

"Comfortable clean and modern, this room had great views from the window and was convenient for the centre of Assisi."

"The hostess did what she could to fix the issues, but the listing should be made more accurate. It is actually a shared apartment with other renters. The private part is only 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. You can also use a common area that has a table, but it is shared with others staying there. The checkout is actually 10am, not 2pm as listed and a person entered our rooms at 10:30 to start cleaning. The breakfast included is at a train station that you need to drive to but without parking. "Pro: The hotel is at a very good location. Close to the train station that will take you to the city and out of it. The breakfast wasn't all that (same old thing everyday), but the dinner was lovely..:a. variety every night. Con: No WiFi in the whole building except the swimming pool and lobby. You have to sort out your internet connection if you want to use internet throughout the stay. The major downside for me is the size of the pool didn't match the number of guests in the hotel. I couldn't have a proper swim in 7 days of staying there. Kids & their parents were in the adult section, leaving the kiddies pool empty! I mean, what is the essence of tennis having kiddies pool when adults section is going to be used by them. "
