"It was a simple cozy comfortable stay. Its much better than what I expected as the reviews were making me a bit detterent but it was suitable for my stay. The rooms aren't of modern furnishings but based on the fact that its a historical community that is expected. The free breakfast was a full wholesome meal and it tasted very good. I enjoyed my short visit to Port Royal I will definitely return. Also Gloria's is a very nice affordable and taste restaurant, walking distance up the road from the hotel that you must try"

"The decor of the house was lovely. I felt quite at home. There was a small problem with the toilet which was rectified expeditiously and that was greatly appreciated. I'm familiar with the area so getting around was quite easy. The only thing I would have preferred would be to have a key to the padlock for the grills to the front and back door. It is a gated community however I felt a bit uneasy that the only thing separating me from the outside was a code which others also had. I suppose even with the key others would have copies but I would have felt a bit safer with both grills padlocked. I would absolutely recommend this property however and would stay again in the future."

"Clean and well kept. Exceptional customer service, very accommodating- they went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Gorgeous views from the rooftop pool. Ice cold A/C and fan as well. Tried the fried chicken and oxtail from the restaurant upstairs- both are great. Also had a nice jetted tub in our room. Will be back."

"When we first arrive we was greeted by Mrs Bernice who was absolutely wonderful and accommodating! Her hospitality exceeded my expectations. Better than the resort we stayed at! "By far the worst rental Ive ever booked. We booked for 11/6-11/12 during a trip to bury my aunt. I contacted the host to let her know that our flight would be landing at 3am Thurs morning. She asked if someone could pick up the keys. When we arrived after 4am, already exhausted, we get upstairs and the keys did not work. We had to wait almost an hour for the host to bring the correct keys. When we were finally able to get into the apartment, we were met with shock & confusion. The air conditioner pictured in the living room, did not exist. After further inspection, there were no garbage bags, no dish soap, the ice machine in the refrigerator did not work, there were ants everywhere, the toilet in the master bathroom leaked brown water, the bathroom smelled & the door is rotting on the inside. We used only the other toilet. On 11/8, we tried to enter the gate, the security guard informed us that they were not allowed to let us in. I was beyond confused, as our belongings were upstairs. Apparently, there was some kind of miscommunication over monthly payments between the building & the host. The host was unresponsive when we reached out to her and the situation continued until the day we checked out. We felt unsafe a majority of the trip having to argue with security for 4 days to get in and out of the gate, while having my daughter and elderly mother with me. I reached out Expedia and they did not offer any solution. This rental should not be allowed on their platform."
