Waterfront Camp with Boathouse - Wifi, kayaks, canoe and sandy bottom out front.
Ferienhaus has a big living room with a wall of windows overlooking First Lake on the Fulton Chain. For warm days and nights, you can sit on the front deck or boathouse for eating or sunbathing, but for chilly nights or rainy days curl up near the wood-burning stove in the front living room. We offer 5G Wifi and have a Smart TV in the living room with a pull-out couch for movie nights. The decor is ADK camp style and has a lodge feel with antique skis, paddles, and snowshoes. For entertaining, there is a bar that seats 4 off of the living room for pouring cocktails. In the kitchen, there is a large dining table that seats 10 for big events and dinners. If you love grilling there is an enclosed porch off the side of the kitchen with a Weber grill and table that seats 6. There is a main bathroom off the kitchen that has a bathtub with a shower. For privacy, there is also another bathroom in the master suite, which has a King bed for sprawling out. There are 3 bedrooms in total. One bedroom has a Queen bed right next to the main bathroom. The next bedroom has a Queen bed and near the back of the camp. The highlight for kikds is the loft with a main living space. If you love the water then you'll spend most of your time on top of the deck at the boathouse or the deck off the camp. There are two docks. One dock is next to an open space for walking into the water. It has a sandy bottom and is 4 feet deep. If you are a boater there is a public launch close by. There are 6 parking spaces for you and your guests. If you snowmobile the parking is perfect for your sleds. For the snowmobiling enthusiast, there are rideable roads and a trailer marker right out your door. Linens not provided. Must be arranged at booking for 150.00 fee.

We had a group of 8 girls for our stay and had a great time. Property was as described and we had no complaints. Check in and out was easy and host was very responsive. Upstairs sleeping would be better for kids probably but otherwise comfortable. We would stay again.
Thank you!

When you took a shower, outside you could smell the septic tank contents. The attic (where 5 beds were located) was closed off to the heat. It took 2 days before the heat reached there sufficiently. The multiple stairs were icy, the bathrooms tiny. The beds were lumpy. It was quaint and the price was good, but 3 star at best.
Our group rented the house for a week of fishing. The house is in a great location for fishing the Fulton Chain Lakes they have a great boat house that is nice and deep for fishing boats to dock at.
The house is very comfortable with plenty of space for 5 grown men to relax in and everything that you need is there.
We really enjoyed the patio on top of the boat house in the evening it was very comfortable and has a great view.
The one day that we had rain we enjoyed just sitting on the screened in porch witch is also a bonus when the bugs are bad.
Over all I would highly recommend this house it is a great place to use for a get away trip.
Nice space- not huge but in a good arrangement. Big kitchen with long picnic table. Full size refrigerator and stove . Nice front deck with lake view, for those who don’t like to walk down to the lake.🤔 kitchen well stocked with appliances, dishes, utensils, cooking tools. Decent amount of parking. Kayaks for use - fun! Life vests. We had 6 adults and a toddler. Plenty of room. We didn’t need to use the upstairs room with 5 single beds - good place for kids.
We came to this beautiful property with friends and all our kids. There was plenty of space for them to chill and a loft for kids that they LOVED. On the adult side, everything was comfy with two queens and a king in the master. Dock accommodated our boat no problem and was great for fishing. The highlight is the top of the boathouse with an incredible view of the lake and plenty of space to unwind. Fire pit and provided wood made for some delicious smores and some relaxing round the flames. Perfect place for a medium-sized group. Good-sized kitchen with plenty of space for our group to prepare meals and eat. Lovely area at the foothills of the Adirondacks. If you’re heading into the town of Old Forge, bring cash. A lot of places are cash-only. And for boat owners, recommend the DEC launch at Eagle Bay on Fourth Lake. About a 30-minute boat ride to the property that’s quite a treat in and of itself. Enjoy, future visitors!
Our overall stay was good, we had great weather, and the top of the boat house was amazing with the views of the lake. When we first entered the home, it smelled very stale like the windows have not been open in months. We found a candle and opened the windows before the rest of the guests came. There absolutely needs to be more lights on the outside stairs at night. The stairs are steep, and we had to use our lights on our phones to go up and down the stairs at night. It’s dangerous. The neighbors did watch our every move while we were outside and that was a bit of an uneasy feeling-we ended up not having a fire either night because we were being watched. The owner let us know before that we came about the neighbors. Not sure why this listing has a cleaning fee as we needed to sweep, vacuum, do dishes and put them all away, strip beds, and put any linen and towels that we used in the wash and ran through a cycle. Cleanliness of the house was ok.
We had a nice time staying at this property. It was well maintained. The location is wonderful. We enjoyed both mornings out in the deck and evenings playing games at the large kitchen table.
Very conveniently located near water park and downtown. Three big bed rooms with two bathrooms. And a loft for the kids. Really nice boat house to chill and watch the water or boats. Great access to water for kayaking and canoeing. They also supplied a canoe. Highly recommended staying here.

Big House.
House was great! House was supplied with paddle boat, standing surfboard Row boat and kayaks ! Very well stocked with everything! Would strongly recommend!!
Who doesn’t love the ADK. The place is a camp, and you take it for that. Plenty of room for all of us and the sundeck on the boathouse made a great space for late night conversation. We had a great time. The owner was get she answered all my wife’s questions. Hope to return one day!
Excellent experience. The place was clean and had nice amenities. Communication was excellent. Make sure that you have the linens included. I missed this when I booked the listing.
We had a great stay on the property. We booked it knowing it was a 'camp' and it was just that! The interior was much roomier than it appeared from the outside. The layout of the space was cut up, but the common areas were spacious and roomy. The stairs just about killed me by day three - but I'm sure it was good for me to get some extra exercise!!
We did have an issue before checking in with the dog allowance, but the owner responded very promptly and took care of the issue immediately! We would stay again.

We loved the location of this cottage. We had a lot of fun at the boathouse & it was big enough. Cute but very outdated. Several things were broken. It smelled very musty too. The owner did respond promptly to these issues. It was our first time using vrbo so we learned some things. All in all a great time!

Old forge camp
Space was dated but worked for our family. Boat house was great to hang out and water access across the street was okay as it’s not a busy road. No paddle boards as advertised and there were not paddles for the boats. Luckily we had friends nearby to borrow from. Old forge is a great vacation spot for people of all ages and weather was outstanding
This is a difficult place to rate but I want to do it justice yet be honest so let's start with the good.
There is a nice dock house roof to sit on, enjoy the lake, stars and a small fire pit; we enjoyed both a lot. The lake was very pretty and wildlife was amazing. The house was clean, however we were asked to fold and put away laundry as wells dry a load of wet laundry on arrival....not the nicest hello, we were told the maid was busy, she must have been still busy on departure because they wanted us to put a load of laundry in again. Typically I don't take vacations to do peoples laundry but maybe it's just me.
The beds were comfortable but there were missing screens on many bedrooms so bugs came in. The A/C cannot be used because the unit is so loud you can't even talk over it much less sleep. We came here to let my soon to be mother in law have a probably last visit with all her Adirondack relatives. We had to cancel it because, unknown to us, there are 18 steep steps to get in the house then a stairway inside with no handrails. The driveway is at a 30 degree angle so the folks simply could not attend. There is also a road between the house and the lakeside deck, that's OK except the listed pictures are deceiving and made it seem like a lakeside home when it really isn't, again an issue for old folk. There was broken lighting along the stairs so at night the walk up is treacherous at best, this really needs to be addressed.
We brought our boat 8 hours, assured that we could put in right at Old Forge. This is not true! Every marina refused to allow us to put in. The ONLY place you can go is the public access at Inlet, 10 miles away. Very hazardous; rocky and 24 mph winds both at put in and take out; very stressful! Then it's a 10 mile and 4 lake journey to the dockhouse at this rental. Beautiful, but the first time getting back, having no local knowledge, was bizarre and stressful. Once you learn the area it is really beautiful, but really, putting in 10 miles from the home should be noted, kind of a big deal!
The owner insisted we do a run to the dump everyday to avoid animal issues. Fine, except it's a 5 mile round trip and they close at noon. This was supposed to be a vacation, people!
Perhaps the strangest thing was that on arrival in the master bedroom bureau we were left a used thong and mens underwear. Pretty weird welcoming gift but hey.
In short, would we recommend or stay here again? No.
My family had a great time! The home was just right for six adults and my two children. Highlights: Stunning view of first lake, kayaks & canoe, minutes from town & enchanted forest.
Stayed here for a bachelor party and had a great time. The house felt cramped at times with 11 adult men (probably would feel less so with a mix of adults and kids), but we just spent most of our time hanging out on the boathouse deck, which was awesome!
We stayed for Columbus Day weekend. Had a nice stay. I'm wondering if no one had been at the property for a bit before we got there as there was a slight sewer odor in the house when we got there. We opened all the windows and bought a few air fresheners and all good. Close to everything that you'd want to do in Old Forge. We would rent again. Thanks.
My run group and I used this house as our home base for Old Forge marathon weekend and hiking fun, it was the perfect place for us, plenty of room, beautiful location, and the view was just amazing! We would definitely stay there again.
