"From the outside the property looked a bit tired but on entering we loved the friendly warm welcome. The ambiance in the bar and dining areas was so lovely and the choice of food really great - it was truly appetising! Wonderful stay - we’ll certain stay again if we’re in the area. "

"We had a lovely stay at this charming property. Our hosts were excellent. Easy parking. Warm, comfortable and clean bed with generous ensuite. Breakfast was really good! Will definitely include this on our list of places to stay again. Highly recommended."

"A great welcome, very friendly, lovely, comfy, spacious room. Mouth watering meals and great choice of drinks. Although we had a lovely Valentine meal, we were in the public bar, next to the bar which was a bit noisy, table in the restaurant would have been preferred for a bit more privacy. Still we had a wonderful stay."

"We had a very warm welcome from excellent hosts. The Great House was beautifully presented and a house with fascinating history. We totally relaxed with a hot tub and freshly baked picnic whilst we were there. The walking in the area is beautiful and I recommend a visit here. "

"The accommodation was amazing, for a self catering establishment, it is very well equipped, lovely island in the kitchen with oven and hob, plenty of space to eat. The lounge area was very comfortable, with big screen TV, both bedrooms had comfortable double beds, upstairs en-suite downstairs separate bathroom. Plenty of parking and for those who wish to eat out, the pub across the road has a great selection at reasonable prices. "

"The owners were pleasant and helpful. Everything was very clean. The breakfast menu was excellent, and the food was perfectly cooked. There is free private parking round the back. The town and beach are just a short walk away. The bed was comfortable."

"This is a special place, beautiful grounds, where you can walk freely walk. Our daughter had the opportunity to feed the Alpacas and sheep, which was very special. The accommodation is fantastic, we stayed in the Stables, which has a conservatory, it mkes all the difference to open these doors to the garden at the back. All in all, a very special place we can't wait to visit again! Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly."

Bridget, Bas and all the other staff we met were charming, friendly and accommodating, including agreeing to bring forward our stay at almost no notice even though we had a fixed, non-refundable booking through hotels.com. However ten minutes before arriving at our destination the hotel rang me to say that they were closed and on holiday themselves. They apoligised and said hotels.com should have checked their diary and not booked any rooms out. They would be putting in a complaint via Expedia. "Lovely house with lots of room and lots of equipment, crockery etc. comfy beds . Outside seating but never used as weather was somewhat wet and windy, but had a couple of sunny spells to make use of hot tub. Jane was very communicative and an ideal host. Thoroughly recommend,"
