"I stayed at this property for 3day/2nights. The staff was amazing. They are some of the nicest kindest people you will meet. We felt safe and learned an enormous amount about the animals in the area. It was my bday and they made me a cake and sang, it was unforgettable. Memories for a lifetime. "A beautiful property BUT with a very bad management... I was harassed by the hotel front desk manager for hotel payment since arrival- even though I provided proof of credit card payment and payment confirmation from hotel.com too. They ignored it and kept asking me to pay in full before my departure because hotel.com had not paid them yet. This payment issue ruined my stay and my entire trip! "Excellent hotel on the edge of the Masai Mara with a pedestrian bridge into the park so that you can meet your driver on the other side and avoid the Talek gate. Food was OK and the drinks reasonably priced. But it is the amazing staff that make this hotel special. Highly recommended."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Mara Duma in a triple tent. The tent was right on the Talek River and we slept to the sounds of hippos grunting and frogs. The staff were exceptional - warm, friendly, kind and helpful - and went out of their way to make our stay amazing. Food was tasty and home cooked and they catered for my gluten allergy brilliantly - i didnt get contaminated. The only negative is that because the hotel is right next to the Talek gate to the Masai Mara and a very rutted road, the road started being noisy at about 4.30am with lorries bouncing over the potholes...though we were up at 5.30am or game drives anyway so it didnt matter. Would definitely stay here again. Be aware that the fastest road from Nairobi to thehotel goes via the Park - gates close at 7pm to enter the Park."
