We were 30min or less from all the major sightseeing destinations including waterfalls, craters, and several lagoons/thermal baths. House itself is well equipped with all basic needs including for basic cooking. Furnishings are modern and comfortable. "This was one of my highlights of Iceland! Hakon was an excellent host and provided us a unique Icelandic experience and really interesting tour of the island. The yurts were beautifully decorated, super clean and warm and dinner was amazing! Would highly recommend! 😊"

"A fantastic place to stay, and a brilliant base for the sights of south Iceland. Friendly staff and the room itself had everything you could need for the price, plus a little bit more. Had to use the spare duvet as a pillow, as I like a firm pillow, but that's more personal preference."

"Excellent stay for a couple. Hot tub was amazing. Got to see the northern light from the hot tub. Great cottage, clean and fully stocked with all necessary essential. Only issue which many have commented on was the shower which leak waters underneath. Easy fix with sealant. Overall amazing stay and highly recommended. "

Fantastic stay under the northern lights

"Could not recommend this place highly enough. The check in was quick and the front desk attendant walked me to my room. The rooms all had a view of the river that runs behind the hotel and the mountain that overlooks it. Dinner at the restaurant was great. And the outdoor hot tub was a great place to relax and enjoy the northern lights"
