"Hotel style property, a little larger than I expected. A bit dated. We stayed in a traditional Japanese room with futons. Overall the room was great, but the futons were the hardest, least comfortable of the trip. Meals however were excellent, and we very much enjoyed the outdoor baths."

"The front staff was not all that welcoming. Not friendly for the rather high end hotel. The shower head was broken,whichnI reported to the front."

I was late for breakfast but they kept it open. The room is excellent value and its lovely looking out over the river. The sound of the running water is beautiful."
