Never Again
My husband and I went to OKC for a long over due weekend. We have rented many VRBO’s and have never had this type experience before.
We checked into the apartment and upon entering saw about six wasps laying on floor. Half were dead, half still alive. Not a big deal for us, we live in the country, bugs happen. We grabbed a tissue and cleaned up bugs then finished entering. First thing I notice is that the refrigerator is pulled into the entry way of the kitchen/dining room, leaving about a 12 inch opening to enter kitchen. After squeezing through, the stove is pulled into the middle of the kitchen, unplugged just sitting there.
Everything else in apartment looked ok, so I emailed apartment manager and asked about appliances. I sent her pictures of what it looked like and she said, that she was sorry for the inconvenience and had informed her team of the issue. As we were staying two nights, I figured someone would show up to take care of problem. At 10:00 that night, no one had yet fixed problem. I contacted manager and her only comment was basically sorry for the inconvenience. I thought surely the next day, someone would fix the problem. Nope, again contacted manager and her response was that it was a weekend and no one worked on the weekend.....sorry for the inconvenience. Who runs an apartment complex that rents out VRBO’s and has no one to take care of problems.
So, we spent a weekend in a half put together apartment that you could barely squeeze into the kitchen.
Other thoughts on apartment Very cute and bright, but they also do not disclose that they do not have tv’s in their rentals, which I will now check that in any VRBO I rent in the future. Also, this apartment used to have Murphy beds that fold down from the wall. They have removed those and placed beds in that space, but it is wall to wall, hard to get in and out of and there are no nightstands on either end, due to no room. Last thing is, although it is a cool old building, the hallways are wood, so you hear every person going up and down the hallway unless they are in a rubber soled show that doesn’t clack on the wood. Needless to say, very disappointing stay, and although I asked for a refund of at least one night plus the administrative fee I paid for since, no administrating was going on, the only thing I got back was, “sorry for the inconvenience”.
