The cabin is very secluded in the lush greenery of southwestern Pennsylvania. This cozy cabin has a solid-wood interior and comfortably sleeps 4 guests. Inside the cabin, you will find a beautiful stone fireplace in the living room, modern kitchen, master bedroom overlooking the forest, and a beautiful bathroom. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee while you watch the birds dance through the trees and perhaps get a glimpse of some of our wildlife! The A Place in the Pines offers the comforts of home some of which are: Private location, fully equipped kitchen, full size stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, blow dryer, washer & dryer. All towels and bed linens, TV/DVD player, stone gas-burning fireplace in living room also included. This unit also includes High Speed Internet with WIFI throughout the house. This property is dog friendly.* Additional flat fee will be charged per pet, if necessary, after receiving your signed Rental Agreement. Pennsylvania vacation
We spent five nights at the Place in the Pines in mid-September. The property was clean, comfortable and perfect for two people. Although there are no biking or hiking trails within walking distance of the house, it's an easy drive to Ohiopyle, the GAP trail, and other trails in nearby West Virginia. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we schedule another vacation in the area.

Anniversary getaway-
Wish the fireplace worked the first day. Unable to have an outdoor fire in the fire pit due to fire ban. What was to be ciozy with the fireplaces- weren’t.

Left a day early because my husband and I have allergies and someone had animals (cats)in the house prior to our arrival. My husbands shirt was covered with hair. We both had severe headaches and felt like we were going to throw up.

Exactly what we were looking for!
Everything was as described. The inside was clean, it smelled like smoke (fire not cigarette) but otherwise we were happy. The location was perfect for the 2 of us. We wanted to enjoy Ohiopyle during the day but wanted something quiet for the nights. We had our German shepherd with us, she loved running around the yard. Looking forward to staying again soon.

Nice getaway
We liked staying here . Very close to all activities in Ohiopyle but very private. Use extra caution, turn to get into the driveway comes up very quickly on the windy roads and you can bottom out easily at the end of it. The house has everything needed for simple cooking. Microwave needs to have door handle replaced and outdoor table has rusted legs making it uneven. We still enjoyed all our meals outside listening to the birds .

Quiet getaway
Perfect location for a quiet getaway. Enjoyed the hottub. The trees provided just the right amount of shade. Would definitely consider returning on our next vacation!

We have not stayed anywhere in PA before but we like to find new areas for vacation. This was in a great location, there were many hiking areas within minutes. The hot tub was great after longs treks.

love the Laurel Highlands
Just a quick stop to re-acquaint with area. finally toured falling waters. Wow. Really enjoyed food and atmosphere at both the Braddock and the Stone House. Could probably save your self some energy/time if you asked guests if they interested in having hot tube "ready to use " when they arrived or if they intended to use at all. Appreciated it being there but to hot to event think of using it... Would definately consider coming back...

Great getaway
My husband and I enjoyed our 25th wedding anniversary at this little getaway.. really enjoyed the jacuzzi as the snow fell. Private, but close to all we needed. Great food and entertainment at Braddock’s just 5 min away. Thanks for a lovely weekend!

Lovely Getaway Spot
I stayed at a Place in the Pines for a short overnight trip with my husband and son. The house was smaller than expected and I was curious about how it could sleep 4 people with only one bedroom area (plus couch). However, it was a clean space, exactly what we needed and the hot tub and secluded outdoor space was perfect. I would definitely come back for a getaway with my husband, as it seems like the perfect place for a little couples weekend.
