next to opera house and restaurants, 2km walk from train station. friendly staff. accept visa payment. 2 story loft. bathroom can get a bit stale with poor air circulation. otherwise clean and very well kept.

Clean carpets, near Derabaskavskaya and Ekaterininska intersection in city center. This apart-hotel is perfect for longer term stays, very livable if you do work from hotel during the daytime and go out at night. Very friendly staff, but only the blonde receptionist knows English well. Very affordable price, even during peak tourism season. Apart-hotels in general are more safe for foreigners than renting an apartment, because of security at reception, but are less luxuriant than hotels, which can have over high prices, maybe because they have nice lobbies and entrances.

My take
The two best things about this hotel was the price and its location. It is very close to the Opera house, the square and a jogging park. The room was dimly lit. The TV worked fine but there were not American or European channels. However if you going for a more European style hotel this might be your place. The service at the front desk was less then steller but will work for most travelers. Oh there is a cafe right next door with reasonable prices. That was nice.

There was a door in the room to the next door. I wasn't informed about this situation in advance and didn't like it. The safe wasn't working. The shower drain didn't seem to work properly and water accumulation was annoying. The A/C, the WI-FI were working properly. The location was great. The services were OK...

A mon arrivée la réceptionniste m'a indiqué ne pas retrouver ma réservation et m'a dit que l'hôtel avait sans doute annulé la réservation. Aucun mail reçu de mon côté ... Finalement on m'a proposé un chambre plus chère, puis par miracle une autre nuitée alors que l'établissement était censé être complet. Un petite stratégie pour facturer davantage les voyageurs ?!

Big Trouble with Japan Booking Side & Local Hotel
How to comment here? I Reconfirmed and booked for one room six nights at this hotel before I go to Odessa, but after I arrived at this hotel in Odessa, the staff of hotel said they didn't get book room from Japan booking side, because they don't have connection or business with Japan booking side and they don't have room for me..... Surprised & Incredible.....

Odessa weekend
Not more than a 2 star hotel (in a block of flats). The room was very cold but the staff brought an extra heater. The staff were polite and friendly. No proper lights in the room, a very cold bathroom. There was a minibar but only soft drinks. Not very much impressed about this hotel. The location, of course, is very good in the center and some cafeterias in the neighbourhood to get breakfast.
