GENERAL INFORMATION
Piedmont is the new Tuscany for food and wine lovers
Piedmont offers visitors a wide selection of diverse and stunning scenery ranging from the Lakes to the Mountains and Ski Resorts. All these are within easy driving distance from Casa dei Cipressi. Casa dei Cipressi is situated on the border of a UNESCO World Heritage area in the hills of the Monferatto, the home of world-famous wines such as Barolo, Barbera and Nebbiolo, and where in its wooded rolling hills, the coveted white truffle is found during the months of October and November every year. There are a number of prestigious Truffle Markets in the area taking place during these months.
Casa dei Cipressi is a neighbour of the Cavinato family winery, which produces wines typical of the area including a very palatable white Cortese – a house wine of Casa dei Cipressi which you will find waiting for you on arrival.
CULTURE
Piedmont has a rich architectural, historical and environmental heritage and Casa dei Cipressi is perfectly situated for discovering all of these.
Examples of the above are the Royal Residences of the Savoy family located in Turin and the surrounding area.

The Sacri Monti (Sacred Mountains) are groups of chapels and other architectural artefacts constructed between the 15th and 17th centuries. One of the most beautiful of these, CREA, located in Serralunga di Crea, is only a 15 minute drive from Casa dei Cipressi.
These religious, architectural sites were recognised by UNESCO in 2003.
MONCALVO
Moncalvo, the smallest city in Italy, is a 10 minute drive from the house. There is an Antique Market on the first Sunday of every month, a general market every Thursday and some excellent restaurants, shops and supermarkets. In November, Moncalvo hosts two renowned Truffle Fairs.
TURIN and MILAN
Turin and Milan are easily accessible from the house and are cultural hubs of the North. They host some of the most important museums and cultural sites in Northern Italy.
