"Lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and friendly, helpful staff. The area around the hotel is lovely with easy access to the train station and hiking trails. Breakfast is very good. The only small downside is the lack of an onsite restaurant in the evening, although there is plenty in the area."

"Just to keep things in perspective, the issues I had seemed to be temporary due to construction but none the less what I experienced. The room was extremely hot. When I called down to the front desk to ask about it, they told me it was a known issue and should be fixed the next day. It was very hot for a couple days and then a little more managable the rest of the week but I had to keep the balcony door open the entire time (Febuary) just to keep the room at a manageable temp. "Very unusual to have a totally automated check-in and check out system. It felt a bit impersonal but it worked well and was very efficient. The hotel is great. It's relatively small and a little quirky but very homely. It is positioned high up with superb valley views. The only downside was the very loud church bell just across the road that rang out regularly from 6am onwards. It wasn't a problem for us as it served as an alarm call, but would be more problematic if you are looking for a lie in. "
