"Great hotel, accommodating host, great whisky "

"The hotel is outdated and needs investment to improve the stay. The proprietor was welcoming (she unfortunately had very little English and unfortunately our German was very poor too - which made communication more challenging). She got up early to see us off and was helpful when the bed broke as soon as I lay down on it. Unfortunately the beds were very uncomfortable, the single mattresses on the double bed leaned outwards from the centre resulting in a night of perpetual fear of rolling out...

"Ein tolles familiäres Hotel in einer schönen ruhigen Umgebung. Die Möbel sind entsprechend dem rustikalen Stil. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren groß und sauber. Ein sehr netter Empfang und ein reichhaltiges Frühstück. "

"slightly quirky room and hotel layout. eg my room door opened into the room with a pillar imnediately behind it!. Food was excellent in the resteraunt, the hotel is set back from the village and it was lovely to be close to the woods and deer in the enclosure outside. Staff very helpfull."
