The location is great, especially if you are interested to explore Downtown Oaxaca and the amazing food market "20 de Noviembre". The hotel is basic, and it has everything needed for a stay. However, the bed and the pillow were HORRIBLE. There is a famous Mexican song called "the stone bed", I believe the author of this song, found his inspiration from the bed at Hotel Santa Rosa.

Oaxaca central hitel
Santa Rosa has a great location, just off the Zocalo and close to everything in the historic center. Only drawbacks is spotty internet with outdated security and the current lack of any food service, even for breakfast or a cup of coffee.

We would stay in this hotel again! Location is great, close to everything in the downtown area of Oaxaca. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. We were lucky to stay in one of the rooms of the third floor that had amazing views of the roofs of the city. And the room has AC!! We are really happy with our stay in the Hotel Santa Rosa. Thank you!

I got at the property around 8 o clock and the clerk said that it was too late and they had already gave my room to someone else. Because according to him, I had to check-in by 6 pm at the latest. Checking on the internet policies for their check-in and check-out couldn't find anything that stated this.. also, th clerk was not very nice. The other property were we were sent is the ferry. This hotel was good except for the matters being too hard.
