"We were thrilled to have a quiet room in the back with beautiful views and peaceful, quiet surroundings. So many thoughtful touches, like ear plugs, a fully equipped kitchen, (didn’t do any cooking, with so many excellent places to eat within walking distance), heat lamps in the bathroom and a wonderful shower, and a smart TV to watch Netflix. The balcony was a bonus, even saw some Keas, large NZ parrots flying in the field. The beds were comfy, there was a king sized bed and a separate bedroom with twin beds. The staff was friendly and helpful and we will definitely be back!"

"Second time staying here and was disappointed with certain aspects from the first time. As a former publican I would not employ certain bar staff from this hotel. Ordered a drink at the bar and waited for my drinks then noticed the person who took my order was serving someone else further along the bar, only assume he could not mix the drinks I had asked for and went to serve someone else, very rude. When you are paying top price for drink you expect top service. Apart from this the staff were very good and helpful, especially at reception. "

"This location is right across from the beach and very walkable to town. Though the studio is a bit small, it was nice to have the kitchenette facilities which even included a two burner plug in cooktop. The bed and pillows were excellent. A few problems with the drains in the shower and sink but the management was aware of it and has been trying to get a plumber out to fix it. It would have been nice to know this before check in as the shower almost overflowed onto the bathroom floor. Nevertheless, this accommodation was a good choice for a stay in Kaikoura."

"We really enjoyed or stay here. I didn’t realise I had booked a unit with no cooking facilities other than a microwave which was very kindly and quickly sorted out by giving us an electric pan and a hot plate. Fantastic service. "
