Lovely
Our stay at the cottage was wonderful! Everything we needed was there and so easy to get to other parts of Oakland from the cottage. Host was very responsive and answered all our questions promptly. Just slightly awkward placement of the living room TV, but we didn’t end up using it anyway.

Oakland trip graduation
Cute place perfect for us. Nice and safe location. Nice firm bed pillows and blankets . All essentials are provided by the host with good taste on all her choices of brand items like shampoo lotion etc. Host is friendly and available when needed. Will highly recommend and will visit again.

This was a way better option than staying in a hotel. We didn’t have to worry about safety, the place was very clean and was high end decorated. Would definitely stay here again!

A real gem
Chris and Lea have a wonderful accommodation with all the comforts of home and the location is very central. I've had a fantastic stay-they are responsive and very helpful and accommodating.

Perfect Oasis
The cottage is absolutely delightful! Very thoughtfully designed and laid out for a small space. Chanda has provided everything you might need from kitchen spices to fancy toiletries. I loved sitting on the patio observing the hummingbirds feed from all the flowers. The neighborhood is adorable with easy access to wherever I wanted to go.

Great small back house
This listing is a little back house in a cute residential neighborhood in Oakland. Even though the space is small, everything you need is available. There’s a curtain between the bedroom space and the living area. The kitchen is nice and clean.

Attentive host
Our host was excellent with communication, made check in and check out easy and was eager and available to address anything that came up. She was kind enough to provide a cooler and ice pack for our day trip sandwiches upon inquiry. The bed was comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. Cleaning supplies were available to wipe high traffic touch points and tidy as necessary. A lovely patio to relax on for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. We felt safe while staying there. If you are planning on staying in this area and have not been before it would pay to do some research and to have a rental car. It’s not too far from attractions and there are a lot of great places to hike and see. The drive to SF is not too bad even with traffic. The crime rate in Oakland is high and it’s obvious when venturing out and about. We learned this quickly when stopping at an in and out burger. The warning sign on the curb about valuables in the vehicle should have been our clue and the multiple parking stalls with broken glass in them. As we ate dinner we watched as a thief broke the back window of a tourists SUV and grabbed the luggage and took off. Less then 3mins. Simply being aware of your surroundings, being street smart and leaving nothing in the car is the best option. Not just in Oakland but anywhere you travel.

Lovely Safe Recommended
The apartment was artfully and cleverly designed The host was present and especially helpful--extra hangers, towel exchange, reset circuit-breakers. Bluetooth speaker, charging pad, good WIFI, two TVs, patio = pleasant work-space. Kitchen with full-sized appliances was well-equipped with everything needed. Bed was comfortable but only accessibly from one side.

A Perfect Little Place!
This little in-law was delightful! Located in a lovely hidden little neighborhood in Oakland it had every amenity you could want. The local cats were super friendly which was a delightful little bonus. Clearly the homeowner have given a lot of thought and care into creating this little jem of a VRBO. Would reccomend!
