Charming and fantastic Rental!
I can’t say enough great things about the property and the owners. It is so well kept, clean, and centrally located. It has everything you can think of for a comfortable stay. It’s easy to see why the calendar shows this property is often booked in advance. Will definitely book again when we visit Alameda again.

The *ideal* VRBO property/host
When I travel to the Bay Area, this is where I stay. The unit is very clean and well cared for, with everything you need for a short- or long-duration stay. Excellent, friendly hosts and a great location (short walk to Santa Clara Ave and Park Street, 1.5 blocks to bus with easy access to the Fruitvale BART station). I am happy to be a return guest at this wonderful property.

Adorable Art Deco
Enjoyed our stay immensely! It was our first time to Alameda. The place was spotless and comfortable. There was definitely an Art Deco 1930s feel with the decor. A walk in shower was much appreciated as we’re seniors. Wood floors were stunning. The owners responded in minutes when we needed something. Anything you need is within walking distance-a couple blocks. The walks were easy and we enjoyed seeing the gardens and yards. It’s apparent the people of Alameda work hard and love their community. We ate at a number of restaurants and were never disappointed. If I ever return to Alameda I will definitely stay there.

Great 1920s with modern updates
We lived the location and easy access. I would recommend that if planning anything in San Francisco plan for one hour extra if having to cross bay city bridge (terrible). Margaret was fantastic and went out of her way to meet any of our needs or wants. Only issue we had was that we like it a little cooler and ac didn't quite cool the entire area. Of course may have been better if opened Windows.

Adorable tiny house in Alameda
What a great little rental! My family of 4 really enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and comfortable with all the little amenities to make things easy especially with my baby like a playpen, high chair and Keurig for Mommy. The biggest draw for me though is the gorgeous garden surrounding the house...I woke up each day to a nice cup of coffee on the outside patio shaded by a fragrant plum tree. The neighborhood feels really safe and you are about a 5 minute walk from main street with restaurants and entertainment. Honestly just walking around this quaint little neighborhood is entertainment itself. I would definitely recommend this rental to a friend (actually I already have!)

Sunny Loveliness with Character
I initially chose this property for its AC - the only Alameda option available with AC, at the time. Lucky me! This gorgeous duplex was so beautiful with its bountiful house plants and art and the architecture itself. I particularly appreciated the natural light streaming in from all corners of both levels. And it was great having a dryer in the basement. (Washer too, but I only used the dryer.) There are 6-7 steps up to the bedroom, to be aware of. The location is wonderful for Alameda walking - just a few blocks from a large park and also Park Street. This is an exceptional property!

We have been to the Bay Area many times, but this is the first time we stayed in Alameda. The accommodations were perfect, as was the neighborhood. We had a very good stay at Margaret and Paul‘s. We recommended this property wholeheartedly.

Perfect location! Easy access to the shops and restaurants and the ferry to San Francisco. Every amenity has been thoughtfully arranged…bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and laundry! The propert was clean and cozy and recently updated qith modern amenities. The location was perfect, and I was able to walk to Park street every evening after work. Une très belle maison très bien équipée avec une super douche Nous allions à San Francisco en bateau avec achat du billet en ligne 8 min voiture ou bus et 20 min de bateau et vous êtes directement dans le cœur. Alameda est une charmante ville ensoleillée avec un petit centre et une jolie plage avec vue sur SF (au bout de la rue). Nous avons passé 5 superbes nuits et avons visité SF er Stanford. Je vous conseille vraiment ce très bel endroit . Margaret a été adorable et réactive. Merci pour ce beau moment en famille.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Property is clean and nicely decorated. If you are visiting Alameda (or the East Bay) and need a nice homebase for 2 adults this place is worth checking out. Communication was clear and responsive. I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Alameda.

Girls weekend
Spent this year’s annual girls weekend with two of my good friends in Alameda. This cute house is the perfect location to walk to local restaurants, and is an easy drive to Alameda Point and for a day in San Francisco.

A Wonderful Stay in a beautiful Art Deco Gem
We just returned from our stay and Margaret's home in Alameda. Beautifully appointed with all of the comforts of home. We stayed when there was unseasonably warmer weather, and the central AC worked very well to cool the home. The king sized bed was soft which we enjoyed, but those who prefer a firm mattress may not be as happy. Self check in and out was perfect, street parking a breeze and a quiet location we would highly recommend. Thank you Margaret!
