Welcome to Among The Forest, a thoughtfully crafted tiny home located just outside the gates of beloved Yosemite!

This fully remodeled tiny home (with some original character left in place!) sits just 6 miles from downtown Oakhurst, 12 miles from Yosemite's South Entrance, and 7 miles from the shores of Bass Lake! It is situated on a private 1 acre lot in the forest of Cedar Valley, a mountain neighborhood on the north side of Oakhurst. The tiny home is just 1 mile from the Lewis Creek trailhead, one of the most popular hikes in our region.

Some features of this tiny but mighty gem include:

- 6 person hot tub open and professionally serviced year round! (yes, it's huge for 1-2 people but you are on vacation!)
- 200 sq ft. redwood deck perfect for star gazing, coffee sipping, wine drinking, reading, yoga, and more!
- Oversized heating/AC mini split unit so you can stay fully comfortable no matter the weather conditions outside
- Propane firepit
- Smart TV
- Good Wifi advertising up to 200 mbps
- 4 Burner BBQ Propane Grill
- Keurig coffee maker, induction cooktop, Magic Bullet blender, fridge, freezer, toaster, microwave, and more

The tiny home is approximately 200 square feet inside, but includes a hot water heater and plumbing you would find in a normal sized home.

In order to maximize space, we put in a PULLOUT SLEEPER QUEEN SOFA instead of a normal bed. This allowed us to fit a fit a queen sized sofa bed, rather than full sized standard bed, and also allows the flexibility to put the bed up during the day for more room. It takes approximately 20 seconds to pull the bed out, and other 20 seconds to put it up if needed. There is a 5 inch memory foam mattress, so it is more comfortable than a standard spring mattress found in most pullout sofas. Fresh sheets, blankets, and pillows are stored in a cabinet for making the bed whenever you get ready to sleep!

The bathroom does have a door with its own lock for privacy.

One week prior to arrival, a digital welcome book will be sent via email and text message. It will have your special door code, address, items provided, and much more great info to help you prepare for your trip!

The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cookware, cups, silverware, and more! Our housekeeping team leaves out salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray. Friends, family, and other guests sometimes leave spices, aluminum foil or ziploc bags at the home. You are most welcome to use any of these items, but if something is particularly crucial to the success of your meals, we do recommend bringing it along with you.

All linens are professionally serviced for each and every reservation! The linens are washed in commercial grade washers with stronger hypoallergenic detergent than you would find in a residential washer. All linens are then pressed with an iron at 300° F, vs. a standard home dryer that only reaches 160°. You are not likely to find this level of service in other vacation homes in the area.

There is no lifeguard on duty for the hot tub. Please use at your own risk. We kindly ask that you shower prior to entering the hot tub.

There is one security camera that faces the driveway of the home.

Chains for your vehicle may be required to drive in the area in the winter and spring months.

Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!

Due to locked neighborhood mailboxes, we kindly ask you not mail anything to the property. You are most welcome to mail items to our office (Love Yosemite! Vacation Rentals) in Oakhurst. Please reach out to us to make arrangements.

Please note that this property is nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, a beautiful escape into nature. However, being in such a pristine, natural environment means we occasionally encounter some of nature's residents, such as ants, spiders, insects, mice and cobwebs. While we take every precaution (including regularly scheduled pest control) to minimize these occurrences, they are a natural part of the mountain experience. Please do inform us if you experience any of these during your stay, so that we have the chance to address them to give you a more comfortable experience.

Please do not trespass on the neighboring properties. We appreciate you respecting the local neighborhood!

No Smoking- The Smoke Remediation Fee will be a minimum of $500 for smoking in the house and could be higher depending on the extent of the damage.

Internet- Peer-to-peer (for example bit torrent) and downloads of copyrighted and illegal material are strictly forbidden by United States law and our internet provider actively monitor these activities. Guests are fully responsible for any illegal uploading or downloading of content and for other illegal activities. By agreeing to the House Rules, you agree to not perform any illegal activities using the home`s internet connection. Any copyright infringement by guest is subject to release of guests information to copyright holder.

Simple Checkout Instructions-
1. Check out time is 11:00am, not 10am like most vacation homes up here!
2. There is no need to wash sheets or towels. They're professionally serviced off-site.
3. We would appreciate a quick scrape and rinse of your dishes. Housekeeping will still go through and sanitize the dishes, but pre-cleaning them really helps keep the bugs/ants away for the next family.
4. Kindly throw your garbage in the outside trash can. It really helps us keep the critters away!
5. Most importantly, please return any furniture you may have moved during your stay.
