The Space:
Red Door Cottage is one of 3 dog friendly cottages (inquire about renting more than one for a larger group) on 2.5 acres in Sierra Sky Ranch. Just north of Oakhurst and 2 minutes off Hwy 41, access is easy and plenty of parking. Red Door is spacious and features two bedrooms, each has a king size bed, 1 full bath, a comfortable living room and a queen airbed if needed. A private deck with BBQ overlooks the acreage. Well behaved dogs are welcome, see pet rules. Located 20 minutes from the South entrance to Yosemite and 10 minutes to Bass Lake.
Pet Rules:
*Pets must not be left unattended in the home at any time
*Pets are charged a $20 per pet per night fee, plus a refundable $150 pet deposit after booking.
* Any damage from your pet will be at the cost of the guest from pet deposit amount.
*Guest must pick up all pet waste and must not leave pet to roam the house unsupervised. A $50 fee will be charged if pet waste is not picked up. Pets are not allowed on the furniture and an additional cleaning fee may apply if there is excessive dog hair, stains or damage to furniture.
*Pets must be kept on a leash in all public areas (i.e. the driveway) at all times
*Pet deposit will be returned within 2 weeks of departure as long as all pet rules are followed and damages are not found.
*Pet deposit is forfeit if any pet rules are not followed
Guest Access:
*This listing is based on double occupancy, meaning there is a fee for each guest beyond 2 people. Day visitors are not allowed so every person on the property at any time must be on your reservation.
This charming cottage is one of 3 cottages on the property (Blue Door, Orange Door and Red Door). You will go to the cottage with the Red Door and use the personalized door code provided after booking to access the home.
The proximity to Yosemite and Bass Lake from Sky Ranch make the Red Door Cottage the perfect location for visiting both.
The living room features open beam ceilings and a stone fireplace. Off the dining room is a private deck overlooking the backyard and wooded views. A well appointed kitchen includes a blender, a programmable coffee maker, dishwasher and utensils.
Special attention is given to guest comfort. Each bedroom has a king size memory foam bed with luxury bedding, down pillows and alternative filled pillows. The bedrooms and bathroom have individually controlled heaters. The bathroom has a shower/bathtub combination, hand soaps, toilet paper and fresh towels. From the back deck you can look over the fenced yard. In the back of the property is a barn and meadow where you can walk around and stretch your legs. For the more active hikers, Fresno Dome is just up the road from the cottage and has spectacular views, hiking and fishing. Off road vehicles are welcome and can be parked in the lower barn area (please inquire on parking restrictions)
These cottages make for a pleasant individual or group stay, and provide a delightful getaway to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Yosemite area. For group stays in the other cottages just contact us. We encourage you to sign the guest book for comments on your stay, thank you.
The Neighborhood:
This is a serene community surrounded by trees with deer and turkey wandering through the property. Peaceful, private and serene yet just minutes from Oakhurst providing easy access to supermarkets and a number of restaurants.
Getting Around:
You will need a car to get around.
Note: At times Yosemite National Park requires reservations, see the official website for details, if you fail to get them you can take the YARTS bus or another tour into the park without reservations.

While we try to keep salt, pepper and oil stocked for your convenience, it is not guaranteed.
Electric costs are high, we ask that you please make an effort to conserve energy when using heat/AC
Please note: some roads from the East, such as Tioga Pass and Glacier Point are seasonal and are closed October through June. Also traveling to Fresno Dome may not be possible during snow and heavy rain, depending on your vehicle.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not alter our cancellation policy for instances of rain, snow, smoke from fires, failure to get a National Park reservation or closures to the national park. Please purchase your travel insurance accordingly.
The tap water has been identified as having high turbidity (cloudiness). Turbidity has no health effects. However it can interfere with disinfection. Due to that factor, people with compromised immune systems, infants or the elderly could be a risk. For this reason boil the tap water before drinking.
Lost and Found: All lost and found items will be kept for up to 7 days. Shipping cost and staff time to mail it back will be charged to the guest. The minimum fees to ship an item start at $50 and goes up depending on shipping cost.
