I can’t say enough good things about this place. Excellent location on Oak Island, house is clean, kitchen appliances are fantastic, backyard with pool and hot tub is wonderful. Highly recommend this place!

Family Memorial Day weekend trip
We loved our stay in Oak Island! The house was wonderful for our large family and the pool area was beautiful. Larry was very attentive and we hope to stay there again someday!

This property is a short walk to the beach and has tons of space for gathering together or for having space to yourself. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. Thanks to the owners for clear communication and quick responses for any questions.

We had our entire bridal party stay here and it was simply perfect! Everyone had their own space. We enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub, watching basketball in the living room, and even playing some of the games they provided! The hosts were so nice and always responded quickly. The Sand castle was exactly what we were looking for!

Our stay was amazing, enough space for all to be together or apart. Each person was happy with the assigned romm, but all were overjoyed by the ELEVATOR. Great for families. Everything worked properly, 2 blocks from the beach. I would highly recommend

Large family vacation stay
Our large family had an amazing week staying at this beautiful house! It is roomy, very clean and well-situated between the beach and main road. We loved that we could walk to the beach easily, then come back and hang in the pool. If we needed anything from Larry, he was very quick to respond and gracious. I would highly recommend this property for a large family gathering. It was perfect for our week in Oak Island!

Great Family Weekend
The property was just as described. It was very clean. Elevator was super useful in carrying in luggage and groceries. Beach is just a short walk away. We loved our stay. The only thing we could have possibly wanted that we didn’t have were a few extra towels and washcloths.

Great Family House
Larry's house was comfortably big enough for our family of 18. It was beautiful, well-equipped with comfortable beds. The location was beautiful. Larry was super responsive. The elevator wasn't working when we arrived and he was at the house in 20 min working on it. A super nice guy, an amazing property and a beautiful location. We definitely recommend!

PERFECT FOR OUR FAMILY
We used the house for Thanksgiving 2023. It was perfect for our family dynamic! The floorplan is awesome being that each bedroom is roomy and has access to it's own spacious bathroom. Of course we did a lot of cooking and found the kitchen to be well stocked with tons of equipment and great quality pots & pans--unheard of at a short term rental! The host was extremely responsive (when we had questions prior to booking) and very accommodating. I'd definitely recommend this property to others.

Fall Get Together
This was our second trip to the Sand Castle and it won't be our last! The property is in a great location, an easy walk to the beach, and had ample space for our group of 24. The kitchen has everything you'll need to feed a group, and enough space so that multiple cooks aren't bumping into each other! It was unseasonably warm for part of our stay, so more people braved the pool than last year as well. Thank you for having us again, and we look forward to next year already! ♥

Great property for big family
The house was great! We had 5 families and still didn't use all the bedrooms! There was plenty of space to spread out and to allow for quiet with napping little ones. The kitchen had everything you needed for big meal prep, including double microwaves and dishwashers. The kids had a blast in the pool and the outdoor furniture was really comfortable. The owners were prompt with answers to questions and communication great. We will be back!

Family Christmas Trip
We do a family Christmas Trip every year w our 7 children and grandchildren ((been married 3 yrs and became a large family). We try a different location every year and of course need a lot of room. We were not disappointed at all and had a great experience ! The home was very clean and it has a well stocked kitchen For serving a large group! We were extremely pleased and the Hosts were very Courteous and quick to respond! Would def recommend to any one needing a great vacation in a great location close to the Beach!

Our family arrived right at 3 pm and was able to get in right away. The elevator was a big help with getting our luggage to each floor, the pool was great to have for the whole family. The house was very comfortable and roomy as well, we had 14 adults and 10 grandchildren with us with enough space for everyone! This home will most definitely be on our list for a future rental l! The kitchen was big enough for myself, my wife and sister-in-law to be able to cook at the same time which was a good thing!

Unacceptable accommodations
Our trip at oak island beach with family was so enjoyable. However, our rental was unacceptable ….. The house itself was big and spacious and well stocked. However, it is roach infested, very dirty mold in the bathrooms and showers many of the appliances were not working or broken and very unclean. The ice maker not working, one side of oven was broken, hot tub and pool needed attention, outside grill not cleaned rusted out. Though the owner responded to our concerns the problems were unresolved. I have stayed and rented many properties. This is the first time I’ve had issues of these concerns and so I would not stay here again or Recommend this home to anyone.

Spring Yoga Retreat Success
Great property with loads of bedrooms, plenty of space for gathering, huge kitchen, and ample decks for stretching out and enjoying the area. Just a short walk to the beach and pier to boot! We had 12 people and were all comfortable, managed yoga by the pool one day, and a few other practices on the upstairs deck area - with birds chirping and breeze blowing. Being in a neighborhood was a nice touch, for sure. Excellent communication with the owner and had everything we needed for a successful gathering. Would have liked to have a bit more large service ware for serving meals, but we were able to manage. There is some ceiling damage in the main level living room but nothing that took away from being able to enjoy the house and the space. We did have a few people in the pool but did not venture into the hottub this trip. Excellent source for seafood is a few blocks away and local provisions under 2 miles - a great spot and a relaxing weekend gathering. Would definitely stay again!

Great price for large home near fabulous beach, good for large groups!
Rose was very responsive and also initiated contact to let us know that the previous renters had trashed the house. Wanted to make sure the place was cleaned to our satisfaction! We ended up calling her back because vinyl floors needed mopping. But she sent her cleaner right out that day! Had some issues with appliances (ice makers and one dishwasher) were not working. Rose purchased a countertop ice maker and offered to buy us ice until the ice maker arrived 2 days later. The beds need more supports underneath, more slats and perhaps better box springs? Great space around house with double decks and outdoor furniture around the pool is great!!! Lots of pool toys, and hot tub is nice! Two indoor living spaces with large TV’s and a separate beverage fridge upstairs! Baths and showers work well and all rooms have ceiling fans or exhaust fans!! Lots of games and places to park under the house!!! Enjoyed our stay and meeting Rose!!!
