Guests of "TIME IN A BOTTLE" feel like they have been dropped in a scene of a Nicholas Sparks novel. This quaint craftsman cottage has all the character of a beach house straight from a romantic novel. This west beach home towers over the waves of the Atlantic ocean and is just steps from the point. Guest will feel like they are on the oceans edge.

Guests love the feeling of privacy this property offers. The multiple vacant lots on both sides of the home contributes to the endless views and the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Our property is clean and well maintained. The host and owners are local and are dedicated to providing their guests with the best experience possible. BOOK this property with confidence and make some lifelong memories!

The living and dining area is on the main level and offers endless ocean views. The family room, with access to the oceanfront deck, is open to the kitchen with a breakfast bar and seating for 4. The kitchen is fully stock with everything guests will need to prepare meals from breakfast to dinner. The attached dining space with 4 chairs is surrounded by windows and has direct access to a cozy screened in porch, an ideal place to enjoy lunch or a seafood feast!

TIME IN A BOTTLE sleeps 8 guests with 3 bedrooms (sleeping 2 per room) and a full size sleeper sofa in the family room. There are two oceanfront King bedrooms, both offering walls of windows to take in the amazing ocean views. The third bedroom is appointed with a queen bed and an ocean viewing window, that can be closed for additional privacy. There is a full size sleeper sofa in the family room.

The master bedroom has an attached bath with a separate tub and shower. The second bath is located off the hallway and offers a tub and shower combination. There is a powder room on the main level.

Guests will find themselves spending hours taking in the waves and the soaring Pelicans from the covered oceanfront deck. The stairs from the deck lead you to the sand with direct access to the beach.

The laundry room is located just off the kitchen and laundry detergent is provided. The spacious outdoor shower with hot and cold water is easy accessible to rinse off after a day at the beach. There is a new gas grill on the ground level readily available for grilling your fresh catch or variety of the local seafood.

Upon arrival, guests will find beds dressed with luxury cotton linens and bathrooms stocked with towels and paper goods. Four new Smart TVs with wireless internet. Enjoy a variety of board games, puzzles, and books, stocked and ready for a relaxing evening at home.

Beach chairs, beach cabana, umbrella, beach towels, and sand games are amenities included with this luxury rental. There are also two beach cruisers for an afternoon cruise to the point. And don't forget the gas grill!

Great location
The location and views were perfect, along with plenty of places to sit on the porch. Check-in could have been better - they were having trouble with a lockbox, which, to their credit was fixed during our stay. All the furniture we used was very wien and uncomfortable, which was a bummer. Oberall, really good, just not great.

Great Location
This was our 2nd time staying at Time in a Bottle. This house has incredible views and is in a great location. We enjoyed walking the short distance to The Point, wading through the tide pools and watching the sunset. The house is clean, well organized and well stocked with basic supplies. The owner kept us well informed and responded promptly to our questions. We look forward to visiting again!

The Time in a Bottle home was a perfect spot for our family beach vacation. The view from the well-stocked kitchen is amazing, cozy living room, comfy beds, all the beach toys and chairs you need all made our time memorable! The owner was kind and very responsive. Our family, ranging in ages 3 to 70, came to stay for a birthday celebration. The house, the location & the hostess could not have been more perfect. The house is spotless, beautifully & comfortably decorated, and so many thoughtful additions from games, the TV options, comfortable beds, nice linens & towels, everything was thought through for a memorable stay. Awesome family get-away!
From the moment we entered the home, we knew we were in for a great week! The window views were incredible. Everything was extremely clean and so beautifully decorated. There was a great supply of entertainment for the adults as well as our toddler grandson-so many channel/streaming choices, books, games, and puzzles for all age levels. We never lacked for something to do. When the weather cooperated, so many beach amenities awaited as well. We loved the great organization and labeling of storage. The kitchen was so well stocked with accessories that we were able to prepare our Thanksgiving meal with ease. Time In A Bottle exceeded our expectations and we look forward to a return visit. Many thanks to Amy for your ease in communication and for sharing this wonderful place with our family!

Great house, great location!
Time In A Bottle was a perfect retreat for our family of 5! The house is in a quiet area with incredible views! It was a short walk to The Point over which we witnessed an amazing sunset. The house was clean; the mattresses and furniture were clean and comfortable; the decor added to the homelike feel. The kitchen cupboards, entertainment shelves and outdoor closet were well stocked and organized without being cluttered. We appreciated the convenience, cleanliness and updated shower faucet in the outdoor shower. The amenities and beach gear were as described and in good condition. The host was personable and promptly available when contacted. We wish we could have stayed longer and are already planning for our return!

An Amazing Vacation
Our week in Oak Island was amazing! “Time in a Bottle” is such a charming house in a perfect location on a quiet stretch of beach near the point. The house looks professionally decorated and it is extremely clean. Tons of windows offer the best views. Nancy was easy to communicate with and always quick to respond. So much is provided with the house (chairs, bikes, beach games, laundry detergent, beach towels, and SO much more) that packing was a breeze. We can’t wait to return!!

This place has my heart!
I stayed here for a week with my husband and 3 kids for spring break. Nancy was a great host. She communicated well and made sure we had everything we needed. We all loved the house. The decor was beautiful, had just enough privacy, and amazing views from everywhere in the house. This place would be hard to beat and was the perfect place for us to spend a week on the beach! Wonderful Beach Escape
Family of 5 and the setup was perfect for the family. Steps to the beach. We did surf fishing every day and caught all kinds of fun fish. The outdoor shower and porch are perfect. Loved it!

Perfect in every way!
Time in a Bottle is just perfect! The beach front property is beautifuly appointed with an amazing view from every angle. We were a group of 3 old friends and we felt like we had the beach to ourselves. The deck set up is very comfortable and the view from the dining room and living room meant we didn't miss a thing even when the weather changed. The living room is very comfortable with a large TV perfect for a movie night and the kitchen is nicely appointed. The bedrooms were all a nice size with very comfortable beds and linens. I appreciated the little things like full length mirrors, clothing hooks and places to put our luggage. The bathroom products were an added bonus! The owner was wonderful to communicate with and prompt to answer any questions we had and provide all the details we needed. Check in and check out was also easy and very accomodating to our schedule. We loved exploring Oak Island and hope to come back again on one of our yearly girls trips!

"The best beach house"
This was the best beach house that we have ever stayed. The location and view is great! The house is clean and the amenities are all there. The owner is such a sweet lady. She is easily accessible and maje surevall needs are met. The area is peaceful and relaxing. The local restaurants are great and not too far. We will be back!!

Fantastic Beach House
This was the best beach house we’ve stayed at. Great location if you like shelling, which was our main activity or just to enjoy the beach. The views from all rooms was fantastic. We saw dolphins swim by everyday. I was able to ride one of the beach cruisers to The Point for a couple of hours to shell. This house has everything you will need for a wonderful beach vacation. Nancy was wonderful and responded very quickly. We will definitely be back.

A home I would call my own
Time In A Bottle is by far one of the best beach houses I have ever rented over my long life. Every detail has been carefully thought about, from the blue and white color scheme, to soft sheets on the beds, and sharp knives in the drawer ( I didn't have to use the one I brought from home.) There are plenty of towels, toilet paper, & cleaning products. Then, there's the glorious beach a few steps from the door. Nancy, the agent who takes care of the property, is very responsive and kind. I will return to this home.

This a lovely house at the point. But not for families with kids. The dishwasher is impossibly small. Even the bowls and many items provided don't fit. No on wants to hand wash dishes on vacation.

Beautiful Beach House
Beautiful home with everything you need to enjoy your beach stay. This section of Oak Island is perfect to enjoy walks to the point and beautiful sunsets.
