The house was fine just very rustic. Had a very “old” smell. We encountered a couple of bugs, worst all being ants in the kitchen. Otherwise it was fine for a quick getaway, but I don’t think we would choose to stay here again.

My husband and I found the rental to be everything the listing said it was. Very convenient to everything! Easy walk to the beach. Close to restaurants, shopping, activities and more. Neighborhood was very nice.

Quick trip
We made a last minute decision to go on a weekend trip and it was also the weekend leading into July 4 th so limited selection of places with availability. This is a small older beach bungalow at the very end of the street. The unit was clean, beds comfortable. It is a long walk or short car ride to a beach access. My complaint is the HVAC system struggles to keep the house cool There was a free standing unit that added support to the central air but still a struggle and the air doesn’t circulate into other rooms well

Prompt response from Rental Agency; Quiet Island Neighborhood
My family and I just got home from a few nights at this home. We needed a last minute place to stay so we could enjoy some beach time. We normally stay oceanfront - so it was a different dynamic having to pack up the car to go to the beach, but the home had the outdoor shower and spray hose so we were able to de-sand easily and hang all of our suits and towels out to dry. Cute patio and yard, if we were there longer we would have utilized more of the outdoor space. The AC was not keeping up with the heat mid-day - and I received a phone call within minutes of texting the issue. They brought over a unit to help keep the house cool during the day - the AC kept up just fine as we approached later afternoon, once the started setting. I appreciated their promptness.

Comfortable and quiet
This place was just what we were looking for, fully stocked and they provided linens and the beds were made. The last place that we rented on Oak Island provided linens that were in bags when we arrived and others that I read online did not provide linens. The house was stocked with everything we needed and they had a welcome package. The main bed was very comfortable we did not use the other bedrooms and the street was very quiet (good for some much needed rest)
