The property is beautiful! It had everything we could want. The view is spectacular. We stayed 4 nights and 3 days. We rested, did crafts, walked on the beach, played ping pong and fooseball, had a movie night, sat around the fire, kept our eyes out for wild life, and enjoyed family dinners. Groceries and other needs were found 17 minutes away. We had a day out at Fort Casey and Coupeville.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The nightly eagle parade, river otters and seal were the surprise icing on the cake. Kait was extremely flexible, accommodating of our requests and very easy to work with. We can't thank you enough!
The home has a spectacular setting and is comfortable. Enjoyed the Kitchen, outdoor decks, and especially the use of the kayaks. The mouse problem is a concern due to the possibility of viruses and the Home needs a workable outdoor BBQ, more towels, etc. Otherwise we had a good time and we actually liked the remoteness of the home.
This house was very dirty !! W hen you 1 st arrive the steps into house covered in seagull poop. It is Infested with mice poop in oven and drawers oven mitts chewed up for nest in drawer .they are very aware as every room has a plug in pest control unit not working . After we saw 1 mouse we put food up in oven for the night the mice got into it all. Contacted owner had a care taker bring2 traps we caught 4 mice 2nd night. Should not been our job .both coffee makers 2 did not work screen door broke and ripped. Only left partial roll of paper towels . No replacements Laundry soap over load smell . was very strong . Other tenants food still there. For the money terrible. I am 65 all others in group mature women . We spent more time cleaning out door furniture not wiped down at all I really feel there needs to be compensation. Julie germano we paid a lot of money for this vacation.
We've wanted to vacation in Whidbey for years and this house was the perfect spot. The house is perfectly tucked away in isolation, yet still in a location that made it super convenient for day trips around the island or just jumping down to the grocery store for a quick stop. The kitchen is well stocked not only with the normal plates and bowls, but a very good selection of pots and pans to make cooking super easy (great gas stove). The bedrooms are all really comfortable spaces with plenty of room to move around. Those positives though all pale in comparison to the amazing views out of the huge back windows and on the spacious back deck. The mountains in the background and the water gently lapping against the shore right out back is one of those views and experiences that a camera cannot do justice. A nice little fire pit area also adds to the back deck experience. We were lucky to get a nightly visit from a group of about 7-10 bald eagles and daily visits from seals popping their heads out of the water just off shore. There is a military base close and a number of fighter jets that fly by daily, but we found it to be a perfect addition to the overall house experience. Only drawback was the garage with the foosball and ping pong tables could have been a bit cleaner, but that's a minimal nitpick. The owner was responsive when we had a question about the hot tub and with just overall communication about our stay. We highly recommend this place and hope to return!
