Clean rooms and bathrooms/great location
Overall the stay was good. The house is very nice. Rooms were clean, so were the bathrooms. However the washing machine did not work, the common spaces were dusty with cobwebs. The first 24 hours kicked up some asthma but with opening the windows and dusting, it got better. The listing should have a picture of the front of the house. Vacasa said they were going to send someone to clean the house but no one ever came. Also the window nearest the door did not have any blinds at all so we had to make a cover out of one of the already broken closet doors. Over all though, these inconveniences were minor. The location was great, everything about a 10 minute walk away

Great location but buggy and musty
The best part was the location to Oak Bluffs center. Otherwise almost every window in the house had a broken crank case. There were holes in screens and other parts of windows allowing bugs to come into the house. Most items in the kitchen were not very clean and the floor was not clean as it left our feet black. The worst parts were the beds which were so bad between the stiffness and cardboard sheets and one of the rooms had a board under the bed which ultimately cut someone in our party. Overall safety was also a question given we were a party of women and we had to leave all the windows open for air and the door could be (and had been) pushed in. Also at first bleach from cleaning covered the mildew smell however that emerged and a toilet wasn’t cleaned and a dirty cleaning rag was left.

It’s a bit run down
Many of the fixtures and furnishings are out dated and unsafe. The shower handle literally came off when turning the knob as were window handles when simply trying to open windows. The refrigerator had broken pieces. Some wooden furniture is very old to the point where shrapnel’s of wood where peeling off. It looks like they may have recently painted the interior but did not bother to put back most of the pictures, just leaving pictures leaning on the walls on the floor. We definitely could not leave our toddler walking around without close supervision due to safety concerns. The exterior shower did not work and the entire property was covered with oversized weeds where grass should be. The property was not worth what we paid even for the July 4th holiday.

NO Support
House nice, managment sucks. Some complaints from previous renters I believe had been addressed. I felt the owner is slowly doing upgrades and being on an island with a rental property can be a little challenging. Windows had been replaced and looked great. Every bedroom had a window AC and the living room had a larger stand up unit. All worked great and kept the house cool. Kitchen does need some updating and repairs. Kitchen sink faucet was clunky, but it worked. Counters and cabinets need updating as well but was fine for a rental. Location to the town was great. The bad part was that we arrived Saturday evening about 5:00. When we got to the house the code that was emailed to us would not unlock the door. I called the management company to see why it wouldn’t work. I was on hold for 40 min. 40 mins outside the house I had paid to be in. While I was on hold one of my family members were able to get a side door to open up. I continued to hold for anther 20 min then gave up. Since we were in, figured I would call in the morning. Called and held for another hour and still no one answered. So now that we want to leave the house we have no way of getting back in. So we had to tape the door open because it couldn’t be left unlocked. The next day someone finally solved our issue. 3 days for support is wrong. If we didn’t break in we would have been stuck with no where to go and no way to get back to the main land. And a 10 digit code for the lock is awful.

Oak Leaf Home
We enjoyed our time at Oak Leaf. The home has all of the essentials, and we were satisfied. It is not a luxury home, but that was not what we were seeking. Upon our arrival, we found the home to be clean and had all of the essential equipment, kitchenware, and supplies needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were clean and comfortable. It was nice having four bedrooms so each could have our own room. Linens clean, fresh and sufficient. One small bathroom and one larger with the primary bedroom. The location was centrally located, and we were able to access all of the places we wanted to visit. It was a quiet neighborhood in late September. Restful. We would recommend a change in flow for kitchenware and the layout of furniture. We were unable to use fireplace, but that was not essential for us. The television was in an awkward place and we needed to move furniture around so we could all see it at the same time. (Note: we did not plan on spending much time watching TV and we did not. We would recommend this home to someone who plans on spending much time enjoying Martha's Vineyard and not seeking a luxurious hangout. We would return to Oak Leaf for future vacation accommodations.

Home away from home!
We greatly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and linen was provided. The living room is comfortably furnished and a the large kitchen provided space for early morning breakfast and late night converstions. Very cozy!

Wedding weekend
The house was located in a very convenient spot! Able to walk to town of Oak Bluff. Very comfortable for our family to navigate to our events of the weekend. The property is in need of updates and fix ups… kitchen appliances, bathrooms, furniture. Still, our family enjoyed our stay.

Awesome vacation home! Highly recommend!!
I stayed at Oak Leaf Cottage for two nights with my adult children and young grandchildren. We had the BEST time! The lay out of the home is perfect for a family vacation! There was plenty of space and lots of features for us all to be comfortable. The home was so clean and stocked with anything and everything you could need to enjoy your time on the Vineyard. The home's location was spectacular, too. We all had bikes and could easily ride to town, the stores, the Carousel and beaches, even the young children. We plan to return next year for more nights!

Great location
Location was amazing !! Walking distance to inkwell beach, the ferry, and plenty of great restaurants and shops. The place itself is a bit outdated and has no AC which was rough in the heat but was accurately called out in the listing I just missed it so calling it out for others. There are several fans available as well. A couple of small maintenance issues and supply issues (eg not enough toilet paper) but nothing that wasn’t easily resolved. Overall good stay and would rent again!!

Disrepair in a great location
We loved the location. Interior space was adequate. House is in disrepair. Furniture, windows, accessories broken. Was honestly worried that owners would charge us for the excessive existing damages. It's a great cottage if you are a sandy beachgoer. We caught a really hot weekend, so it was nice that Vacasa brought us some fans. No AC. House had adequate kitchen items. I'd bring extra trash bags and toilet paper if I was to come again.
