RENTER BEWARE! I booked this VRBO almost a year in advance because I know how quickly the Vineyard books up. I knew this was a new listing, but I thought I'd take a chance since the location was great and it fit my whole party. A month later (once all the other homes on the island were booked) the host reached out to me to tell me he "accidentally" listed the home at the wrong price and requested DOUBLE of what I had already paid. Since there were no other homes available on the Island for that weekend and I had already booked my entire groups travel plans, my options were to pay up or lose the house. I felt completely swindled and taken advantage of. I also wasn't sure if I was being scammed and spent the following 9 months stressed that I would arrive to the property and not be able to get in.
Flash forward to the actual stay and the host would not send me the check-in information for the house. It took me physically driving to the property, getting his phone number from VRBO, and calling him to get the check-in instructions.
Let me say, the house was beautiful! But unfortunately, tarnished by this whole negative process. There was not enough silverware for the 12 people it listed to house. Very little cookware, and broken appliances. The toaster was broken, and so was the dryer. We couldn't wash and dry our bath towels which was awful for a party of 12.
We were able to make the best of our stay, but VERY expensive stay for SO much stress
