"Beautiful quiet location. We opted for the evening meal which was delicious, fish on a bed of Moroccan vegetables, three cheeses and lemon tart for dessert, all washed down with a very smooth red wine, bread and water also included, would definitely recommend. Bed was very comfortable. Room and bathroom both a good size. Shower was excellent. Breakfast was typically French and sustained us through. Would without a doubt return here if we are again in the region."

"We stayed here during a family trip down to the Dordogne. It's an excellent half way point. Léa and Pierre were lovely hosts and the property was full of character. The breakfasts were fab, including a very early one that we needed due to our ferry timings. Thanks both for a nice, peaceful stay. "

"Patricia and Pierre are lovely, warm people who made us very welcome. The gite is spacious and set in very pleasant grounds. The swimming pool looked super but sadly, due to the cold weather, we were unable to use it. The log fire was wonderful for the cold nights. "A fascinating property with a history. Fabulous views of the chateau from the bedroom windows and from the courtyard. Right in the centre of Saumur, but had a large heated indoor swimming pool. The extra treat was the pool table and pinball machine. It was easy enough to reverse the cars into the courtyard with practice. It was lovely and convenient for restaurants, the chateau and the bakery. Gilles, our host was at the end of a phone if we needed him. Nicole the housekeeper made us welcome...
