"The hotel is vintage in age, design and decor - so different from "seen one, seen them all" modern facilities. Location is close to town but feels rural and a bit rustic - just what we look for in lodgings while on holiday. Staff went out of their way to be helpful (calling for taxis and food delivery when our phones wouldn't operate) and making suggestions for day trips in the area. They treated us like family! "Interesting historic house, once a nurses home as it’s opposite a hospital! No reception, access via a door code sent to you by SMS on day of arrival. Except mine did not arrive. Had to work out who to phone (security guy) then was told room wasn’t ready. All a bit of a nuisance as we were tired after a long journey.
