Easy to find but secluded stay tucked just off the A47. Everything you could need for a stay, including biscuits, towels and bowls for the dogs. Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom all modern and well equipped.
Brilliant walks just on the doorstep and a short drive away, wished could have stayed a few more days to explore.
Lovely cosy property, beautifully decorated and well equipped for self-catering travellers. We had a great stay, exploring the Norfolk Broads, and our host was very helpful and welcoming.
A very comfortable, clean & well equipped accommodation it had everything you could want on a break.
Everything is excellent except it is very closed in around the outside I imagined from the title there were going to be views.
A lovely property, clean, comfortable with everything you need. The location behind the old school house was great.
Loved the details...the bedroom wall, the framed photos.
The Fieldhouse is perfect for exploring the local area. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful, comfortable and cosy this is the place for you. Glen, our host, could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended
We booked this short stay for our daughter and new husband for their wedding gift. They say the accommodation was excellent, clean, home from home with all the mod cons you need for a short stay. Slightly difficult to find as property is hidden behind high bushes but the host was excellent at directions. They would definitely return. Thank you so much.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The place was ideal. It provided immediate walkable access to the local heritage charm and the protected marshland was just a short distance away. It would be a great place for a retreat, bird enthusiast and local history. Although Halvergate is a small village, it has easy access to Acle (closest) as well as Norwich and Great Yarmouth. Taxi service is available and prompt. The owners were responsive to questions and went out of their way to make my stay exactly what I intended. Definitely would stay again.
On our arrival we were greeted by Georgie, Glenn and Willow their dog, we entered the cottage and couldn’t believe how beautiful and clean it was, there was everything you needed for your stay, the bed was very comfortable and we slept so well. The cottage is situated off the road and was so quiet only the birds you could hear, our two dogs had a roam around the garden and said hello to Willow. Georgie was very helpful and understanding especially when our old dog Ellie had an accident on the door mat, I would definitely recommend this cottage for your stay 10/10
Beautiful property. They have thought of everything you could possibly need to enjoy a comfortable stay. Was clean and quiet and decorated to a high standard
The gardens are immaculate and as a keen gardener myself I appreciated that
Host kept in touch to check if we needed anything. We stayed for the weekend with our dog and he enjoyed sitting outside with us
You do need a car to get around but worth it as the property is tucked away and peaceful
We will definitely be visiting again

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Location
There were too many flies in the cottage
We don’t know what happened in that place but for it to be painted in only 2 small places 10 minutes before we arrived was vey strange and it was literally full of flies throughout our stay
Glen has a beautiful property located in a peaceful part of the countryside in Norfolk, you would need a car when visiting as nothing close by.
The place itself has everything you need and was really modern and clean
We were staying with our 6 week old baby, and glen ensured we had a infant towel as well as our towels so we could bath him. A lovely thoughtful touch.
Check in was easy as keyless and communication from host was easy.. our only downfall was when something came up and we really could have done with rescheduling there wasn’t much flexibility on it .. I know its peak season so will accept it
Overall a beautiful place and will 1000% return
What a lovely cottage, it's just right for a romantic time away. Everywhere was so clean. There were complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and even dog biscuits and poop bags on our arrival. The decor is beautiful and everywhere is done to a very high standard. We shall be back!
Exploring the Norfolk Broads area. The property was central to the areas we wanted to visit.
The property was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We expected something slightly larger from the way it was advertised but the location was central to where we wanted to be.
Warm and friendly welcome from Glenn, Georgia and Willow, who were most solicitous. Comfy bed, ditto sofa, good bath/shower room, plenty of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, a super welcoming basket of goodies and a HUGE telly!
Just the thing for a couple seeking some peace and low-key living if they wish.
Highly recommended.
Thank you, G, G & W.
