Overall the property has a feeling of being neglected, specifically there were missing covers on the door locks, and door closers, the doors to the rooms were scuffed and dirty, stair case railings were missing finials, and elevator was beaten up and not very clean. It strikes me that the mainenance and upkeep budgets are likely not sufficient.
Also, when ordering room service, the door hanger order form as placed on the door well before the 2:30 am deadline, just to find it still on the door in the morning when we realized the food hadn't arrived, After discussion with the staff they let us know that their rules had changed and we would need to pickup the food from the front desk and would have needed to order the night before. They did get us sorted but they were scrambling around trying to determine if the door hangers were old and incorrect. They did decide that the door hangers were wrong. Again attention to detail seems to be the problem.
Lastly, I would say that the staff is trying very hard, is very friendly and responsive, I just get the feeling that they are not given what they need in the form of funding, training, etc. to get the job done at the level one would expect from such a property.
