Bacton Woods is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic and it has great walking trails. There is a good children’s playground within 5 minutes walking distance, also offering additional free parking for the property. The traditional seaside resorts of Cromer, 11 miles, and Sheringham, 15 miles, for fun at the seaside, or Wroxham, 13 miles, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads National Park, where you can hire a day launch or join a cruise and watch the world drift by.
Perfect for families is BeWILDerwood at Horning, an outdoor adventure park. Another firm favourite is the Dinosaur Park at Lenwade, offering both outside and inside fun, including a splash park for warmer days. Avid gardeners can make a visit to The Old Vicarage Gardens at East Runton to enjoy the extensive gardens, its tearoom with tasty cakes, and the Sheringham National Trust Park.
