This reading room was erected in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee and is now a luxurious holiday home. Completely refurbished in 2023, keeping its historic charm, with original architectural features and character elements preserved, and updated to offer all modern-day conveniences, designed with luxury and comfort in mind. Here you can truly relax, whilst enjoying its tranquillity.

Excellent walks and cycling opportunities available from doorstep. A short walk from the front door is the wonderful Salhouse Broad, with a large green where you can enjoy the boats and wildlife. Excellent location to enjoy the three delights of Norfolk, all 30 minutes’ drive, the stunning coastline, famous Norfolk Broads National Park, and the fine city of Norwich. Sea Palling, Horsey and Winterton on Sea offer quieter and wide sandy beaches backed by dunes. Popular coastal towns such as Cromer, Wells-next-the-Sea or Sheringham offer plenty of seaside attractions. Why not enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach, indulge in fresh seafood, or enjoy traditional seaside amusements. Wroxham, capital of the Norfolk Broads, 5 minutes’ drive, and a popular destination for boating and birdwatching. Waterside restaurants, cafes, and shops.
