Not a place to stay
This hotel is not a place to stay. The internet do not work. I used a cup to drank tea night before and noticed that the cup was not clean when I came back the following day despite I requested for my room to be cleaned. I will never stay in this hotel again
Stayed 4 nights in Dec 2019

Very Tired
I am talking about the hotel being very tired and not me. Would class my experience as this place is a large B&B rather than a hotel. Room was cold and smelt with numerous cobwebs to add to the effect. Restaurant was closed and so after a long day and drive, I once again had to drive to find an evening meal. The only plus was that the breakfast was good quality.

Not pleased. Hotel details on your site states 'food available'. No food was available !!! Not good after a 16 hour day. No working space in the room. Poor shower. Not particularly clean.

It looks nice from the outside...
The staff are great, they are hampered by the environment in which they find themselves. It may be great as a wedding venue, as a hotel it's lacking, the rooms look like they haven't been updated since the 70's or maybe at a push the 80's, wiring heating and wifi is haphazard, the front desk isn't manned after 11pm with no-one available apart from a mobile.

Ok
I think breakfast should stay open for gesuts that are working at different times of the day. fact 1 I was awake for 9 o clock but breakfast over. But yet I paid for it in the price, never offered a reduction. For both stays. But I felt cheeky asking for it, so didn't bother.

Quiet, but seen better days
Not stayed here for many years, and suffers from being away from the heart of Northwich compared to the two local premier inns, or the new Travelodge up the road. The condition of the outside and hallways gives a tired look, but the room I was in was well decorated and comfortable. Food in the restaurant was very good, but the menu choices were limited, and as the only person eating on the one night I was there, I could see why. Lacks any sort of general custom for the restaurant and bar to give it atmosphere except for residents. Staff were all friendly and helpful. All told, would stay again when (like this time) the price paid was less (or competitive to) the local Travelodge!

Very disappointing
I stayed in room 6 which was small and very poorly laid out/equipped. The bedside light was at the foot of the bed and you had to get out of bed to switch it on or off. The Tv was small and pointed at the wall opposite so could not be viewed from the bed. There was one dining room chair in the room which was not comfortable to sit in, so you only had bed to sit on. The mattress was very lumpy and worn out. In the bathroom the floor 'dropped' as you stood on it by the shower, the carpet had a hole in it and was stained, the toilet seat had a chunk missing and the sink was cracked. The room was clean but badly in need of re-decoration. Overall it was well below my expectations. I spoke to the events co-coordinator before I left the hotel and gave this feedback. She said that the owners are going to rectify the problems and they halved my bill as compensation for the poor quality. As I explained to them, it was a real shame that the room quality was so poor and because of this I would not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Close to Tatton Park for the flower show
The bedrooms were in need of updating. The springs were coming through the mattress. The room had an old fashioned bath with only a hand held shower spray At 9pm we were asked to leave the restaurant as it had to be locked. We went to the bar ,which was very small and could only accomadate a maximum of 8 people. In the evening the hotel was manned by 1 person which made it very difficult to find someone to serve you in the bar..

Do not judge a book by its cover !
From the outside this looks like a nice hotel, but once you are inside you realise its very tired, overdue for renovation with a below standard restaurant. I would suggest avoiding until some investment is made to bring this hotel up to the standard it could and should be..........
