"Silver Gate Lodging is located only 2-3 miles from the NE entrance to Yellowstone. The room has been remodeled and was comfortable. The property manager greeted us promptly at the counter in the General Store. She gave us a quick rundown of other businesses nearby for food, coffee, etc. She offered free internet while sitting on the General Store front porch. The other guests were very friendly with a community type atmosphere around the fire pit. The Log Cabin Cafe across the road is delicious...

"Quoted one price one VRBO then when we got our confirmation they let us know they will collect another $48 per night resort fee when we checked in. The place is out dated and not worth the money. We switched after night one to a private condo for less per night that was MUCH better."

"This is an older motel but very clean. It is the perfect place to unplug. Even if you dont want to. This wasn't a big deal for me but it might be for others. The only place the wifi works is at the office/camp store, no cell service and no tv's. It was very relaxing to sit around the camp fire each night. The rooms are clean but small. The shower was also very small."

The office was closed and the phone number on the email confirmation was an invalid number. The thought that we had no way to get into our reserved hotel room was very scary. Luckily we found another resident there who contacted the manager. The manager arrived shortly to help us check in. Later the manager pointed out that there was a contact phone number on the key drop mailbox...
