"We used this super cozy place for around two weeks for additional holiday company over Christmas and the New Year. Really wonderful. Excellent communication all around. Highly recommend. And be sure to stop in and have a meal at The Bear Creek Tavern just down the road. Highly recommend that, too."

"The home is so amazing to walk through and take in all the historical features of architecture. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas and created a warm atmosphere for staying away from home after the holiday. We had the terrace room and were disappointed we could not use it due to the cold and snow. We plan to stay in that room again when the weather is nice so we can enjoy the view of the other beautiful homes on the street. "

"Choosing this gem away from the usual hub of Canal Street was the best decision! We enjoyed the in-room hot tub, comfortable bed and cozy fireplace. Aside from wishing for 3-prong outlets near the couch, a bench at the end of the bed for clothing/suitcases, a way to use and see the TV from the bed,, and non-slip stairs up to the whirlpool, we were very happy with everything else…especially the library, garden room and gorgeous staircase. Beautiful stay. Thank you! "

"The property and history was beautiful. Very quaint and peaceful. The room was had been cleaned but not detailed. It is advertised as a B&B but there really is not food. There is a space in the common area with some muffins or pastries, hot water and coffee but is not well attended and not really any kind of breakfast. There is lovely peaceful music playing and plenty of room to sit and enjoy a good book. We would stay again but we would have to bring food, tea, etc. Not really a B&B."
