"We love staying here, it truly is a friendliest hotel ever, it's truly Alaskan in ambiance, wonderful collection of Alaskan art in the lobby and dining area. The shuttle from the airport is always Timely. The staff that greets you at the counter is wonderful. My only disappointment is that they have removed the steam room, and will replace be replacing it with red light therapy, which is going to cost an extra charge. Evidently the steam room had issues of leaking that they could not resolve, so the decision was to take it out, and replace it with a different type of therapy. I will miss being able to go into the stream room after time out in minus degrees, and being able to warm my core. It will remain to be seen if red light therapy can deliver the same such comfort. The breakfast here are better than most places who offer breakfast included, and they let their breakfast hours run till 10:00 a.m., knowing that many of their clients have been up all night chasing the Northern Lights. We highly recommend Pikes Waterfront to all of the folks we meet who are thinking of doing a trip to Fairbanks, whether it be summer or winter"
