The cottage was everything the photo portrayed restfully and relax full with a magnificent view of the water and the bay
the owners could not have been more accommodating
highly recommended for your stay
We truly enjoyed our stay there. The owner was VERY helpful, both with a problem we had, and information about the surrounding area. We do hope to return again in the future.
Very nice owners! The cabins, camper areas and yards are well kept. Beautiful view! The only downside was the busy road close to the cabins. It would not be ideal for toddlers or pets who like to bolt out the door. I had a wonderful stay!

lovely cottage, very clean and well maintained; Christine and husband very accommodating!
We stayed at cottage # 3, a small charming and well equipped cottage, very clean and everything we required was provided. Thank you Christine for your hospitality, we had an excellent week of rest and relaxation; both you and your husband were very kind and accommodating throughout. An extra thank you for the garden tomatoes, they were a hit with the family!
Everything about our experience at the cottage was ideal, from the easy communication with the hosts, to directions and check-in, and the cottage and amenities on the Lake. Very clean accommodations with everything at our fingertips - kayak, canoe, grill, fire pit, a close trip to town and nearby markets, and plenty of excellent recommendations for sightseeing and dining. The Herringtons were extremely warm and welcoming and made us feel at home, and even gifted us some fresh vegetables from their garden. North Hero is a truly magical spot and this cottage made the trip perfect - we cannot wait to come back and hope everyone else who stays in the future falls in love with it as much as we did!!
This property was exactly as described and pictured, a small cottage with all the amenities you could need. Christine was a great host, incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. I had asked about an ice maker prior to arriving and she mentioned there wasn’t one, but she had ice trays filled and waiting for us. We also asked about an ironing board and she had it waiting for us even though it was not initially listed as an amenity. We were there with family so we couldn’t utilize the backyard grill, fire pit, and lounging areas as much as we would have liked, but it would have been perfect if we had more time to wind down. I needed to work while I was there and the wi-fi was strong. We were also there for a bit of a heat wave and the air conditioner did a great job keeping things cool. Would definitely stay here again.
Location is restful, sitting by fire watching sunsets so beautiful. The cabin has everything you need. Will return again. Property managers were friendly, and helpful.
9.5/10!
Vey clean, comfortable cabin with dockage and power. Like all cabins, it's quaint and quirky, but clean, roomy enough on rainy days for the two of us and a Lab, and has a small fridge/freezer, pots and pans, dishes, and utensils. Did I mention that it's clean?!?
We can't say enough about how helpful and kind Chris and Larry are. If you need anything, they are available. Great communication about when they won't be on property. At the same time, they also aren't intrusive - they checked in on us the perfect amount!
No cons, but just a few things to know:
The cabins are close to the road. We heard some road noise, but not enough to be bothered by it. Didn't even really hear it on the water side.
The gravel road in front of the cabins is narrow - you probably don't want to go down it with your boat trailer. We unhooked in the parking area by the launch until we were ready to put it in. After launch, Larry took the trailer to a different area on the property until we were ready to take out.
The launch itself is a little tricky because of people driving onto their trailer and blowing out some of the gravel. Take a look at the launch first so you know where to avoid.
Easily accessed from U.S. Route 2, with a view of the cove and a wooded point across the water, the campground cottage No. 3 provides two rooms with natural interior lighting through sliding glass doors, traditional windows in the living area and a triangular gable window above the sleeping area. Working shower, sinks, indoor plumbing and hot water. Hot plate and toaster for cooking, a small fridge. Ideal for solitude or work, the view from the porch provides a tranquil place to look at birdlife. Recommend for one or two adults, an easy place to make home for a few days to a couple of weeks. The bed was soft and comfortably fitted with clean linens. I believe I noticed that the couch in the other room pulls out a hide-a-bed, though I cannot say what its condition or comfort level would be.
Our week at Cottage 3 on Carry Bay was delightful. We ate all our meals at the little table on the deck overlooking a small back yard and the dock beyond. The cabin was small but cozy, and everything was clean and well-kept. There's a bit of traffic noise from nearby Route 2, but we never noticed it at night. A very pleasant interlude, especially after being cooped up during Covid for the past five months in Massachusetts. We definitely plan to return!
We enjoyed our stay on Carry Bay very much. Christine was very nice and even shared vegetables from her garden with us. We had our dog Barney with us and it was very pet friendly. The National Wildlife Refuge that is nearby was beautiful and dogs were welcomed. Saint Ann's Shrine was beautiful and has a nice beach. We had a great time and would certainly come back.
We are Vermont residents who wanted a getaway on the lake after being in the northern part of the state on business. The cottage was spotless--everything we touched was clean from door handles to shower curtain to light switches. Lysol and hand sanitizer on the table. We felt safe in this time of Covid. Chris and family take excellent care of the property and are nearby if you need anything. The cottages are located on Rt. 2, so they are easy to find and convenient for outdoor activities. Cute little porch with shade from the sun and view of bay that leads to the lake. We cooked dinner in the cottage every night, and the kitchen met our needs. Kind owners who want you to feel at home. Thanks for a great stay!
