It is a beautiful custom 1200 square foot house located adjacent to the Sierra National Forest. It is 3 miles from Bass Lake and 23 miles from Yosemite National Park. The land is a wildlife sanctuary for deer, silver foxes and other wonderful creatures. There are no hiking trails on the property itself. There are many trails within short driving distance. There is a book at the house that gives information on recreational activities in the area.
There is custom stonework behind the wood stove depicting a mountain sunrise with trees and clouds made by a world class stone mason.
There is a flat screen television in the great room with ROKU access.
There is NO cable or Dish.
The kitchen has granite counter tops. The bathrooms both have dual shower heads.There are 2 bedrooms. Each Bedroom has a queen sized bed.
The kind of air conditioning in the cabin is a water evaporation cooler commonly called a 'swamp cooler'.IT IS NOT AN AIR CONDITIONER . It works well and is very refreshing unless it is humid and very hot outside. Then, it cools the house down but not as well as a regular 'air conditioner'. It will typically cool the house to about 15 degrees cooler than the outside temperature during these hot (80 to 100 and over) summer days. The nights are cool even in the hottest weather so it's lovely to sleep with the windows open and breathe in the pines and healing mountain air.
The house is nestled among pines, oaks and manzanitas with cedar log pillars at the front entry and forming the landscaped gardens.
It is a sacred site perfect for personal creative retreats, solitude and recreation.
