Nestled in the heart of North Charleston is The Marie. The Marie encompasses 5 generations of authentic low country living. Whether it's a girl's trip, bro's weekend, couples getaway, or family retreat, The Marie is where you want to be.

The Marie offers a mix of traditional, modern, and low country setting that offers comfort and privacy. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of downtown Charleston and escape to The Marie to relax after a busy day of shopping and eating.

The property encompasses space for up to 6 people comfortably and basic home amenities, television streaming (Netflix, Sling, Roku), and peace. Please be advised that local channels are only available via Sling. Central AC and ceiling fans are present. There are also a few baby amenities including high chair, play mat, baby wipe warmer, bottle cleaning rack, and travel crib. We're ready to host you.

We're located in the heart of North Charleston near interstate 26, Rivers Ave, and University Blvd. Close to shopping, recreation, grocery, and restaurants. Tanger Outlets, Amtrak, Airport, and Convention Center are approx 15 mins drive. Downtown historic Charleston is about 20 mins drive. Folly beach is approximately 22 miles away and Wannamaker water park is 8 mins away.


Note: Trash and recycling bins should be placed on the curb for collection no earlier than 8pm Tuesday night for Wednesday morning collection. If guest is staying at the residence thru Wednesday, please collect the bins by 6pm Wednesday and return them back to an open location next to the garage.

Pets are welcome, but be advised that there is a $65 pet fee for up to 2 dogs of medium size. Reservations will more than 2 pets will incur an additional $15 charge. Please take care to clean up after your little ones. Waste bags are provided to keep the yard clean.

By submitting a reservation, and upon subsequent approval by the host of the reservation, guest agrees to absolve host of all injury and property liabilities incurred on the property. Guests will be held responsible for all damage to the property. Email for Hourly/Dayuse Rates.

Awesome place to stay, the girls thought of everything to make you feel at home. Highly recommend if you are looking to do anything in the Charleston area.

Lots of room indoor and outdoor. Back yard needed some attention to the dog do do. House was stocked with everything we needed. Tried to communicate with the host a few times before our trip with no response. Not far from Charleston at all. Nice area.

Nice property and well taken care of.

Great Getaway
We came down to the area for a wedding and this was the perfect house and location. The perfect size for my family and close enough to go in any direction and have something to do. Great stay at the Marie
Husband and I were there for a week for our anniversary. We enjoyed all of Charleston , Summerville , Folly Beach and North Charleston. It was a great midway point . House is very clean and has everything we needed . Neighbors are very nice . Won’t be disappointed staying here .

Easy to get around in north Charleston.
The marie description is accurate, its within 10 minutes to most stuff other than downtown Charleston. The house is well stocked, all the matresses are wrapped in bed protectors so there is no bugs.

Super Place to stay
We were very pleased with this rental. It was clean, in nice safe neighborhood. It had a large shaded fenced backyard, perfect for dog. It was very quiet except for occasional airplane but this was no problem. Well furnished with everything to get started with your stay. My husband said, best VRBO rental we have had in this price range. Would stay again in this house. Host very welcoming.

Overall it was a great rental. The space was just right. The neighbors on the left were very friendly. The house was supplied with more than enough supplies if needed. Initially we felt it smelled as if a cat had been living inside or was nearby but we got over that and everything was great. I would rent this property again.

Girls weekend with a dog
We had a pleasant stay at The Marie. It was about 20-30 minutes from the historic district. It was easy to get there and back. It was nice to have a place in a quiet residential area with a fenced yard for the dog. The house was clean and had everything you would need. Everything was labeled and there was a welcome book with plenty of important info. We felt welcome and the dog had a blast in the yard.

Sweet Marie!
We enjoyed The Marie! The place was clean and the host was very responsive and helpful! The kitchen has just about any appliance you could need. The home is spacious including the backyard! We had a great time celebrating our mother’s 60th birthday! We were far enough away from the city that we could get around easily but close enough to do everything downtown! Anyone would enjoy staying at The Marie!

We had a wonderful stay! The property looks just like the pictures. Huge back yard if you are bring pets along. The pantry is very well stock with anything you may have forgotten. Very nice quiet neighborhood, close to the airport and about a 20min drive to Charleston. I definitely recommend this property. You can tell the owners take very good care of this home! 5 stars 🌟!

Huge yard for the dogs!!!
First off, let me start by saying the owners are so sweet. I was scared I was going to need to switch dates due to a winter storm. The owners were very accommodating and willing to move my dates if needed. Such a cute house and a great backyard if you want to bring your fur baby.

We enjoyed staying at this quaint little home full of rich family history. Everything we needed was provided. The fenced in backyard was a bonus for us and our dog Sully. The neighborhood was very quiet and we felt safe. The location of this home is within 30 minutes of everything you would like to visit in North Charleston, Charleston and surrounding areas. Being able to come back to a quiet home after visiting the many sights in the area was a great way to relax. Thanks again to the owners for sharing this lovely home with us. We will recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.

We were satisfied with our stay at The Marie, but not overwhelmed. We had difficulty connecting to WiFi, but the host was extremely responsive with an immediate returned call. It turned out to be a mistake in the information we were given, along with an accidentally hidden card in the condo, so easily resolved. House and furnishings were definitely on the heavily used side. Some fresh new linens and pillows would be a good improvement. The only soap was in dispensers next to the sinks, but none in the showers. We were lacking in hand towels until someone discovered some in the dryer the second day. We were all comfortable, but I felt the place could use some TLC.
