Confusion with check in set the tone for the trip.
I have booked several stays using VRBO and other apps. In every instance, I have received clear check in instructions in the days leading up to our trip. In this case, I didn't receive anything until two hours before checkin. The problem with that was, I was still on my flight in and didn't receive it until we landed in Oklahoma. Not too big of a deal but it made the flight slightly stressful, wondering if I was going to have to call and inquire. The next issue was a second email sent at the same time describing the property as a shared property with common areas and other guests would be staying in the same apartment with us. This was not what the listing had said. Again, I got these emails while waiting for our baggage at the airport.I responded to this, saying we were this was not what was agreed to. I got a response to ignore the first email that it wasn't meant for me. (The two emails I got were first the instructions on check in and the second that it was a shared apartment) I asked for clarification and got none. (until 3 AM the next morning)
We got to the apartment and realized with was as advertised and it was not shared. The apartment itself was perfect for the two of us. The only criticism I have of the apartment is the walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors moving about, cars on the street and people talking late at night as they walk past (or in our case, stand next to the bedroom window in the parking lot talking/making out)
